Job Description Position Overview The Mitigation Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the mitigation division, including water, fire, mold, and environmental services. This role ensures projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company standards, industry guidelines, and client expectations. The Mitigation Manager provides leadership to mitigation technicians and project leads, while ensuring quality control, compliance, client satisfaction, and financial performance of the division. The Mitigation Manager works closely with the Rebuild Manager to ensure seamless transitions between mitigation and reconstruction phases. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management • Lead, mentor, and manage mitigation staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations., • Work directly with Human Resources on disciplinary actions, employee write-ups, hiring, terminations, and onboarding processes., • Promote a positive team culture consistent with company values., • Provide coaching and conflict resolution to ensure accountability and productivity. Operations & Project Management • Oversee day-to-day mitigation operations to ensure jobs are completed on time, within scope, and within budget., • Perform initial site inspections, create work scopes, and ensure proper documentation is completed in company-approved systems (e.g., Encircle, Xactimate)., • Assign crews, equipment, and resources to projects efficiently., • Monitor job progress, quality, and compliance with industry standards (IICRC, OSHA, EPA, etc.)., • Work with the office coordinator to ensure the job schedule board is accurate and updated daily., • Collaborate equally with the Rebuild Manager to ensure smooth handoff transitions from mitigation to reconstruction, with shared accountability for timelines, documentation, and client expectations., • Manage on-call rotation and emergency response operations as required., • Personally respond after hours if no one else on call answers, and ensure presence on large loss jobs and commercial client responses when necessary. Office, Warehouse, & Equipment Oversight • Manage office warehouse operations, including inventory control, supply levels, and equipment readiness., • Oversee company trucks assigned to the mitigation team, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and properly maintained., • Share equal accountability with the Rebuild Manager for warehouse organization, truck readiness, and supply/equipment management., • Coordinate with staff to ensure all supplies, materials, and tools are available and accounted for on every job. Client & Vendor Relations • Maintain professional communication with property owners, insurance adjusters, property managers, and other stakeholders., • Ensure client expectations are met and issues are resolved promptly., • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors as necessary for specialized services. Business Development & Division Growth • Ensure mitigation division consistently captures new jobs each week to meet company budgets and growth goals., • Work with the Business Development team as needed to help secure new opportunities, including meeting with new or existing clients to inspect, review jobs, and close deals for incoming work., • Build relationships with clients, adjusters, and referral sources to increase project opportunities., • Report weekly on job acquisition performance and division pipeline. Compliance & Safety • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company policies., • Conduct safety training and enforce use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE)., • Maintain accurate jobsite and equipment records. Financial & Reporting • Review project budgets, cost controls, and profitability of mitigation jobs., • Approve timesheets, equipment usage, and job expenses., • Provide regular reports to leadership on department performance, job status, and staffing needs. Required Skills & Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of restoration/mitigation experience with at least 1 years in a leadership role., • IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT preferred)., • Eye for detail and willing to SAY SOMETHING if you see something., • Strong knowledge of Xactimate and other industry-standard estimating software., • Ability to be on-call and travel when needed, • Job requires dedication for a 24/7/365 position (we are an emergency service company servicing the entire country)., • An ability to professionally collaborate, strategize, etc. for the common good of Amerestore Restoration, • Ability to understand large picture and build a team to meet those expectations., • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills., • Ability to work in high-stress situations, including after-hours emergencies., • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record., • Other duties when assigned Expectations • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the company., • Uphold confidentiality of sensitive company, client, and project information., • Adhere to all company policies, core values, and performance standards., • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
