What You'll Do You'll take ownership of the electrical and HVAC systems that power our operations, ensuring safety, reliability, and smooth production flow. Your day-to-day will include: • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on production equipment, motors, drives, sensors, panels, and control systems, • Diagnose PLC and control-related problems and collaborate with engineering when needed, • Perform electrical preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and prevent repeat failures, • Support equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and startups, • Ensure all electrical work meets safety codes, LOTO requirements, and company standards, • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including RTUs, air handlers, chillers, compressors, and related controls, • Conduct preventive HVAC maintenance to ensure stable temperature and humidity for production, • Respond to HVAC breakdowns impacting operations or safety, • Coordinate and inspect work performed by external HVAC contractors, • Identify chronic electrical/HVAC issues and drive long-term corrective actions, • Reduce reliance on contractors through expanding internal capabilities, • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives, • Recommend PM enhancements, equipment upgrades, and appropriate spare parts, • Maintain accurate documentation, PM records, wiring updates, and repair logs, • Support electrical and HVAC compliance requirements during audits, • Serve as a technical resource for engineering, operations, and maintenance teams, • Mentor other technicians and provide guidance as needed, • Successful completion of the Journeyman Electrician exam, • Must be 18 years of age or older, • Federal EPA 608 Certification (required for refrigerant work), • Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot complex electrical and control systems, • Proficiency with PLC‑controlled equipment and variable frequency drives (VFDs), • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation, • Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards, codes, and best practices, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, • High school diploma or GED, • Completion of a registered electrical apprenticeship program (8,000 hours OJT + 500–800 hours classroom instruction), • 8+ years of hands‑on experience in industrial electrical maintenance, • HVAC certification or HVAC license, • Experience using CMMS systems, • Background in high-volume or automated manufacturing environments, • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, • Action Oriented, • Collaboration, • Optimizes Work Processes, • Nimble Learning, • Demonstrates self-awareness We offer a competitive benefits package designed to support your well-being and growth, including: • Low-cost BCBSIL medical, dental, and vision plans, • A generous company-matched 401(k) and profit sharing, • Tuition support to fuel your learning, • A legacy of quality and innovation., • A team that values your expertise and ideas., • Opportunities to grow and contribute to meaningful projects.
