This role oversees project-management personnel, guides project planning and execution, and ensures commercial, contractual, and performance obligations are met. The Director drives alignment between engineering, procurement, and construction activities and serves as a key decision-maker throughout project lifecycles. Primary Responsibilities • Lead and coordinate project-management teams overseeing multiple active projects, ensuring delivery that meets schedule, budget, and safety expectations., • Coach and direct Senior Project Managers and Project Managers in the development of project scope, execution strategies, and financial oversight., • Define program objectives and determine optimal execution pathways for new and ongoing work., • Introduce and maintain standardized PMO processes, reporting structures, and communication protocols., • Anticipate project risks and develop preventative and corrective action plans., • Partner closely with internal leadership, including IT teams, to advance digital-strategy initiatives and rollout of new tools., • Uphold PMO documentation standards, governance practices, and operational guidelines., • Manage client and subcontractor negotiations related to scope adjustments, schedule impacts, and commercial terms., • Ensure compliance with project-specific execution plans, safety programs, and quality-assurance requirements., • Allocate resources based on project complexity, workforce capability, and organizational priorities., • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field., • PMP certification or equivalent credential required., • A minimum of 10 years of project-management experience in utility, infrastructure, or construction environments., • Broad technical understanding of engineering and construction disciplines., • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage senior-level project staff., • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across departments and levels., • Knowledge of industry regulations, utility-sector requirements, and best-practice project-delivery standards., • Proficiency with project-management and engineering software systems., • Background working with EPC, MSA, T&M, Lump Sum, and Not-to-Exceed contract structures., • Ability to balance shifting priorities and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
