Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Physical Therapy Assistant, • Discipline: Therapy, • Start Date: 01/05/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Provides clinical patient care by administering appropriate treatment. Completes patient records in a timely manner. Provides instruction (teaching) to patients and/or family members. Job Responsibilities: • Provides clinical patient care by administering appropriate treatment., • Progresses patient treatment as appropriate., • Assists RPT in modifying and re-setting functional goals., • Carries patient load that reflects productivity standards., • Provides documentation by 1) maintaining appropriate treatment records; 2) completing accurate daily patient charge sheets., • Completes patient records in a timely (same day) manner., • Accurately reflects time spent and procedures performed as well as equipment issued in patient charges., • Maintains technical (education) expertise through: 1) attendance and participation in continuing education activities; and 2) departmental in-services., • Attends 95% of scheduled in-services and departmental meetings., • Attends one off-campus continuing-education activity per year., • Provides instruction (teaching) to patients and/or family members., • Follows care path guidelines for patient/family education and documentation of home programs., • Teaches patient/family member proper use of equipment issued., • Follows set guidelines for daily operations., • Schedules and prioritizes daily work assignments., • Delegates, as appropriate, to support personnel basic patient treatments to follow through with., • Assists with PT volunteers and RPTA students as requested by (in-charge) therapist., • Consistent and correct time-care utilization., • Decision Making: Independent judgment in making minor decisions where alternatives are limited, and standard policies/protocols have been established., • Working Relationships: Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise)., • Leads others in same work performed (does not supervise)., • Works directly with patients and/or customers., • Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction., • Works with external customers via telephone or face to face interaction., • Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
