Job DescriptionJob Title: High School Group LeadDuration: 2024-2025 School Year Classification: Nonexempt- Part Time Salary Range: $20.00-$23.00Department: TCF Programs Reports To: Strategic Initiatives ManagerLocation: Stockton-San Joaquin County Hours: Monday-Friday, 12:00-6:00pm (Hours May Vary) Job Summary As a High School Specialty Staff member for the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P), you will play a crucial role in supervising, designing, and implementing a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for high school students. You will oversee students participating in enrichment activities, clubs, or seeking academic support at their high school. Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) High School Specialty Staff must meet qualifications as required by Stockton Unified School District Program, ASES Grant, and The Table Community Foundation (TCF). Essential Functions Supervision and Safety • Supervise up to 20 students during after-school program school hours, always ensuring their safety and well-being specifically designated by the Program Facilitator., • Enforce program rules and policies to maintain a safe and orderly environment., • Respond promptly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents., • Immediately report suspected child abuse to the Program Facilitator and TCF supervisor, while following the mandated reporting procedure. Activity Planning and Academic Support, • Support, plan, and organize activities and projects designated by the site to engage students., • Lead and facilitate activities such as music, art, e-sports, credit recovery, and recreational games., • Provide homework assistance and academic support to students as needed., • Monitor and ensure students are attending their academic sessions with their teachers, with the goal of helping them graduate. Behavior Management, • Set clear expectations for behavior and conduct within the program, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere., • Implement appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary, following program guidelines and protocols., • Foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity, promoting acceptance and understanding among students. Communication and Collaboration, • Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, school staff, and program administrators., • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement program goals, strategies, and initiatives., • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required. Additional Responsibilities, • Fulfill any other duties as assigned by the supervisor, recognizing that the role may evolve to include new tasks introduced by the company. Job Qualifications, • Minimum Knowledge/Experience/Requirements, • Must be at least 21 years of age, • Must have at least 48 semester college units or successful completion of the Paraeducator exam, • TB test clearance, • Must pass DOJ/FBI criminal background check, • Must be punctual and reliable, • Must possess strong classroom and behavioral management skills., • Must have experience working with youth and general knowledge base of core elementary subjects., • Must be able to work independently or as part of a team., • Must be able to communicate openly in a professional manner with staff, students, parents, and community partners, • License/Certification/Clearance, • Sexual Harassment Training Certificate *required (TCF will provide training), • Mandated Reporter Training Certificate *required (TCF will provide training), • First aid and CPR Certification *preferred Physical Demands, • Must have sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to safely supervise children’s activities including the ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs., • Must be fit for frequent bending and standing.
