Job Description Residential Services, Non Direct Care Service Title: Clinical Manager Responsible to: Chief Programs Officer General Description of Duties and Responsibilities: The Clinical Manager reports to the Chief Program Officer. He/she will ensure seamless clinical delivery, quality and evaluation of services, while upholding the Core Values of AIMED. Specific Duties: • Review new referrals, collect critical information (disposition, clinical, behavioral and medication) and schedule team meetings to discuss referral., • Oversight of new admissions and discharge protocol (transition planning and notification to the family, county and team). Coordinate the items on the admission checklist, psychiatric care, diagnosis info, medication and behavioral plans., • Oversee admissions (admission, assessment and preliminary behavior plan) authorization., • Develop Behavior Support Plans (BSP), FBA, crisis and safety plans., • Human Rights Team Lead to ensure all BSP's and Restrictive Plans adhere to the ODP standards and regulations prior to implementation., • Collaborate with Support Coordinators, Administrative Entity (AE), and the AIMED Program Team on critical revisions to Support Plans., • Responsible for upholding standards and guidance at all times while ensuring their practice is grounded in evidence based theoretical and practical knowledge., • Strong background in clinical and behavioral services., • Oversight of AIMED to Independence admission and discharge process., • Participate in the team transition meeting and review all clinical information to determine fit for agency., • Coordinate and review clinical information for an admission or discharge with psychiatric team (social worker, psychiatrist and team)., • Conduct in-service education and oversee all clinical staff development activities including needs assessment and training needs for all staff (documentation both clinical and daily progress notes)., • Become a Certified Investigator., • On-call for clinical emergencies and consultation., • Provide clinical services as needed for participants (Behavioral, Mental Health and individual sessions). Must carry a caseload as needed., • Facilitate monthly clinical, treatment planning and consultation to the team., • Review Participants records for quality of treatment, documentation., • Oversee clinical and quality assessment and improvement., • Document in progress notes following professional protocol., • Oversight of clinical services and supervise Clinical Specialist., • Knowledge of Office of Developmental Disabilities Everyday Lives and mission., • Knowledge and understanding of HCSIS and investigative reporting., • Become proficient in all systems: HRST, ADP, My ODP, Therap, EIM and HCSIS., • Become knowledgeable with PROMISe and our billable services., • Attend agency meetings related to participants, such ISP and team meetings., • Become familiar with 6400/6100 regulations and county monitoring., • Familiar with IMQ4 and QA&I and participation., • Familiar with the Quarterly review process and participation., • A member of the Peer Review Committee., • Demonstrated leadership ability., • Knowledge of IDD, Autism and Mental Health., • Excellent computer skills., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail., • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for AIMEDs mission., • Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards in diverse workplace., • Knowledge of labor standards., • Open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done., • Ability to challenge and debate issue of importance to the organization., • Ability to look at situations from several points of view., • Persuasive with details and facts., • Delegate effectively., • High comfort working in a diverse environment and working conditions., • Non-traditional hours of work., • Use of personal vehicle required., • Strong clinical and behavioral intervention background., • Interpersonal sensitivity (objective awareness of others, tactful interaction, ease in establishing limits)., • Valid drivers license., • CPR, First Aid and AED., • Must clear ACT 33, 34 and 73 (criminal clearance).
