GENERAL MANGER Foxtail at the Glenview House – Upscale, High-Volume, Mediterranean Restaurant Location: 1843 Glenview Rd, Glenview Il Compensation: Highly Competitive Salary + Bonus + Benefits + PTO Reports To: Ownership ABOUT US Foxtail at the Glenview House will be a high-volume, full-service, upscale restaurant opening in Glenview early spring 2026. Featuring a strong bar program, Mediterranean cuisine, and a hospitality-driven culture. We are seeking a hands-on, operationally excellent General Manager to lead all front-of-house and operational systems, drive profitability, build leaders, and deliver exceptional guest experiences. This is a true General Manager role — not just running shifts — but owning the business day-to-day. POSITION SUMMARY The General Manager is fully responsible for restaurant performance, including: • Financial results & P&L ownership, • Guest experience & service standards, • Staff leadership, training, and culture, • Systems, processes, and accountability, • Cost controls, labor management, and COGS, • Own all daily restaurant operations (FOH, bar, and floor flow), • Maintain and enforce service standards, hospitality, and cleanliness, • Ensure consistent execution during high-volume service and events, • Oversee floor management, guest recovery, and VIP experience, • Ensure all opening/closing procedures, checklists, and sidework are execute FINANCIAL & BUSINESS PERFORMANCE • Full P&L responsibility, • Control and optimize:, • Labor cost, • Bar & beverage COGS, • Food COGS (with Chef), • Operating expenses, • Analyze weekly sales, trends, and opportunities, • Build schedules aligned to business levels and labor targets, • Oversee inventory systems, audits, and vendor accountability, • Work with ownership/DO on budgets, forecasting, and growth strategy LEADERSHIP & TEAM DEVELOPMENT • Hire, train, develop, and lead:, • Managers, • Supervisors, • FOH team, • Build a bench of future leaders, • Run manager meetings, floor meetings, and performance reviews, • Enforce accountability while building positive culture, • Coach, train, and develop managers — not just staff, • Oversee onboarding, training systems, and performance standards PEOPLE, HR & CULTURE • Ensure compliance with all labor laws, handbook policies, and HR standards, • Manage:, • Discipline, • Write-ups, • Terminations, • Performance improvement plans, • Maintain a professional, respectful, high-standards culture, • Own staff morale, retention, and engagement EVENTS & LARGE PARTY OPERATIONS • Partner with Events Manager / Sales Team to:, • Ensure flawless execution of private events, • Align staffing, service plans, and timelines, • Maintain service standards for high-revenue events, • Oversee BEO execution, staffing plans, and event flow SYSTEMS & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT • Build and enforce:, • Checklists, • SOPs, • Training systems, • Accountability systems, • Continuously improve efficiency, execution, and profitability, • Create structure that allows the business to scale, • Knowing TOAST POS, TOAST PAYROLL, RESY, TRIPLE SEAT AND 7SHIFTS A PLUS WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORREQUIRED EXPERIENCE:, • 5+ years as a General Manager or Senior Restaurant Operator, • Experience in:, • High-volume full-service restaurants, • Bar-driven concepts and/or event venues, • Managing managers, • Owning financial performanceIDEAL CANDIDATE IS:, • A true operator, not just a floor manager, • An operator who is comfortable working with ownership on a daily basis, • Past NRO’s a Plus, • Highly organized, structured, and systems-driven, • Financially literate (understands P&L, labor, COGS), • Strong leader who builds culture and accountability, • Calm under pressure and excellent in high-volume environments, • Hands-on, visible, and respected by the team, • Obsessed with guest experience and hospitality standards COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Competitive salary (based on experience), • Performance-based bonus program, • PTO, • Health benefits, • Growth opportunity within a growing restaurant group
