IDDBA Education Coordinator Job Description Reports To: VP, Education Industry Relations Exemption Status:\tExempt Revision Date: October 2025 Position Overview The Education Coordinator is responsible for the management of educational programs and initiatives of the association including but not limited to training programs, webinars, research projects, and certifications. This role works closely with internal teams, association members, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders to ensure the successful planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational resources and events. Essential Functions/ Major Responsibilities -\tManage Request for Proposals for organizational resource programs & processes. -\tManage organizational resource programs and processes through direction of both internal and third-party personnel. Resources include updates, reporting, and annual performance goals. -\tManage and oversee Board Insight Committees. Lead board meeting teams consisting of Board of Directors, Committee Members, and member companies through planning and strategies to direct our organization’s resources. -\tPrepare reports to the Board of Directors of both committee and departmental program resource strategies, updates, and focuses. Present at the business meetings. -\tProvide key communications through our organization website, app, and related social media communications in compliance with our organization’s communications policies. -\tManage and coordinate the planning, scheduling, logistics and successful launch of education programs. -\tCollaborate with both internal and external partners to develop and implement education programs that align with the association’s goals. -\tCoordinate with speakers, trainers, and subject matter experts to secure their participation in Education Events -\tEnsure all educational materials are accurate, up to date, and aligned with the industry standards and best practices. -\tRespond to inquiries, provide information, and address concerns related to Education programs. -\tParticipate, communicate and execute feedback from committees. -\tContribute to the development of program performance metrics and key performance metrics. (KPIs) -\tMeet with members and prospective members to review education programs. -\tParticipates and helps with executions of What’s in Store Live. -\tAssist with sponsorship acquisition, order products, and ensure products are well represented. -\tAssist in creating and implementing marketing and communication strategies to promote educational programs and events. -\tAssist in production of annual trends publication. -\tStay up to date on industry trends, educational practices, and government policies. -\tPerform other projects and duties as assigned to assist in meeting departmental and organizational goals and initiatives. Position Requirements/Qualifications -\tFood Service, Deli, Bakery or Grocery Industry experience preferred -\tStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. -\tDemonstrated ability to represent the association with optimism, positivity, flexibility and professionalism within association committees and industry. -\tExcellent communication and interpersonal skills. -\tProficiency in using productivity tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite. -\tAbility to manage program timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. -\tAbility to work effectively in a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Physical Requirements -\tTravel up to 21 days per year to fulfill and support organizational events, meetings, & resource commitments. -\tRegular sitting at desk with regular exposure to computer screens. -\tAbility to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
