As a US-based warranty provider, we provide expertise in safety and homecare to our customers. Our integrated solutions meet customer needs both inside and outside the home. Inside the home we protect critical aspects of home function such as plumbing, heating and cooling, appliances, power surges, hot water heater, and interior electrical. Outside the home we provide protection for critical lines (water, gas, wells, sewers, electric and septic). We primarily go to market B2B2C, partnering mostly with water/gas/electric utilities and municipalities to offer our product leveraging their brand for marketing and often adding our subscription fee to the water/gas/electric bill itself. Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Scrum Master to play a pivotal role in combining traditional project management with Scrum principles to deliver high-quality projects. Working with technical and business stakeholder teams, this role will ensure effective implementation of Scrum principles while fostering a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework, with the ability to coach teams and facilitate Scrum events effectively. In this role, you will support and coach Agile and traditional teams by empowering them and providing methods and tools to enable quality delivery while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement of the team and removing impediments and preserving flexibility and ability to respond to changes on the team. This Hybrid role is based in our Naperville, IL office. Our office environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience, so a regular in-office hybrid model (generally T-TH in office and M & F remote) is required. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Facilitate Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, • Coach team members in technology, product and business in Agile practices and ensure adherence to Scrum principles), • Coach team members in Agile frameworks on scrum, kanban, story points, etc., • Drive definition of done for all sprints with clarity on success criteria and instrumentation and monitoring, • Collaborate with Product Owners to manage the product backlog effectively and assist in prioritization., • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements., • Execute project plans, ensuring milestones are achieved on schedule and within scope., • Oversee project budgets and ensure financial constraints are adhered to., • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including team members, sponsors, and external vendors., • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of project goals., • Provide regular project status updates, risk assessments, and issue resolution plans., • Coordinate and allocate resources efficiently, ensuring project objectives are met., • Lead change management processes, ensuring the organization adopts changes resulting from project implementations., • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving greater efficiency and effectiveness in project execution., • Provide timely updates to stakeholders on project status and any potential challenges., • Foster collaboration by facilitating open communication between team members, Product Owners, and business stakeholders. We’re Excited If This Is You Experience and Qualifications of the Role • 8+ years of technology experience with a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in technical project management/scrum master in a hybrid Agile environment., • Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira or Trello, • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework., • Familiarity with other Agile frameworks like SAFe or Kanban., • Strong skills in guiding teams and facilitating Scrum events, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders., • Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills., • Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions promptly. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification We offer a compelling total rewards package that includes a competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits to support your total wellbeing. The base pay range for this position is $107,355 - $142,600 USD Annual. The specific pay offered will depend on qualifications, experience, education and skill set. The compensation offered may also include an annual performance-based bonus, sales incentive plan or commission target.
