Job Description Flippo Construction Company, Inc is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join our team in Forestville, MD. The Dispatcher is ultimately responsible for scheduling and dispatching the company's fleet of construction trucks and equipment for multiple ongoing projects. The Dispatcher will report directly to the Equipment Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES: • On daily basis stage (line up) equipment required for the next days operation., • On a daily and weekly basis keep close liaison with Superintendents and Foremen, ascertaining their equipment and supply needs., • Keep in close communication with all job sites., • On a need for basis, rent equipment after approval has been given and follow up as to delivery, condition and length of possible use., • On a daily basis, input all fuel usage at all facilities., • Re-order all fuel used at pump station., • Maintain an orderly file system., • Develop and maintain close working relationship with Maintenance Shop, Foremen and Staff., • Keep and maintain accurate line up including productive, job available and yard available equipment., • Be punctual in hours of employment, reporting directly to the Forestville facility., • Reporting directly to the Equipment Manager performing such duties as he may assign., • Daily, turn in a log of scheduled unused equipment for the next day., • Responsible for obtaining pricing and making purchases with vendors., • Maintain the company's electronic weather system., • Renders to the Accounting Department, after verification, the accumulated miles of the equipment belonging to the company on a monthly basis., • Oversees all work assignments and tasks of the Lowboy Driver and all 10 Wheel Drivers of the company, to include but not limited to, their performance evaluation, ensures that their hours worked has been reported as needed to payroll., • Schedule all moves for the Lowboy daily, for the next days work load, and when needed will arrange for additional hauling resources to ensure equipment delivery is on time to job sites, will keep the Equipment Manager informed of all moves being made by the lowboy., • The Dispatcher will introduce all new hired drivers to the different forms and their required use, when operating a truck for FCCI. He/she will render a brief introduction to the new hired driver(s) on the layout of the Forestville facility to include Shop, Wash Rack, and Dispatch office. Requirements • Experience scheduling and dispatching construction equipment and trucks in support of multiple construction projects., • Knowledgeable of standard construction equipment used on heavy civil construction sites., • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment., • Excellent computer skills. Experience with computer-based scheduling applications a plus.
