Job Description Job Title: Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II Job Description The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II provides a variety of technical services including electrical, controls, and mechanical to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve automated production equipment. This role is seen as a Journeyman of maintenance, offering a significant opportunity for professional growth. Responsibilities • Ensure the safety of production equipment by maintaining compliance with regulations and industry standards., • Identify and rectify unsafe conditions related to electrical safety, shielding, guarding, safety interlocks, and emergency stops., • Complete safety review checklists for all new equipment and significant changes in processes and equipment., • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment promptly to minimize downtime., • Ensure spare parts are identified and on-hand for all production equipment., • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and adjust requirements as necessary., • Provide training and mentoring to production associates to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment., • Assist production with updates to equipment-related SOPs to ensure accuracy of instructions., • Identify and implement improvements to reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance customer satisfaction., • Participate in site continuous improvement activities including PPI and Lean., • Perform a full range of maintenance and calibration activities on production and facilities equipment., • Follow all safety and cGMP requirements., • Perform calibration activities and certification of cleanrooms and controlled areas., • Design and fabricate parts and small systems, and install and monitor new equipment., • High School Diploma (Advanced education in a scientific field preferred)., • Technical Certification is a plus., • 3-5 years of technical mechanical and/or electrical experience or a combination of experience and education., • Capable of troubleshooting automated equipment, electronics, sensors, motors, servos, and pneumatics., • Strong mechanical skills including the ability to perform mechanical disassembly, repairs, and reassembly of complicated equipment., • Proficient use of all hand and power tools., • Demonstrated working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, lubrication, electrical systems, and industrial automation., • Willingness to be trained on HVAC, chiller systems, steam systems, and hydraulic press is a plus., • Knowledge of electrical/mechanical troubleshooting is a plus., • Willingness to be trained on vacuum and/or DI water systems is a plus., • Willingness to be trained on PLC and VFD programming is a plus., • Strong willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve self, and train others. Work Environment This role is based in Lebanon, TN, within a 400,000 square foot facility, including 60,000 square feet of cleanroom space. The work involves a variety of environments including office, laboratory, hazardous chemical production, cleanroom, general production, warehouse, and occasionally outdoors. The position requires night shift work from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Sunday to Thursday, with a 15% shift differential. Training will be conducted during the day shift initially, transitioning to the night shift. There are opportunities for overtime based on business needs. The work involves physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds, along with frequent stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, and other physical tasks. The environment includes potential safety hazards such as welding, grinding, electrical work, high-pressure equipment, chemicals, and noise. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
