We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to join an R&D team developing a sophisticated electromechanical system with many integrated electronic assemblies. You’ll own meaningful portions of the electronics lifecycle, from PCB design and release to hands-on bring-up, integration, troubleshooting and test. This is an execution-focused position for someone who likes to stay close to the hardware, move fast and deliver practical solutions. This position is on-site in Lincoln, NE. No travel is required. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement and test electronic systems and printed circuit boards from concept through release, • Create schematics and layouts using PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, Eagle, or similar), • Coordinate fabrication and assembly of prototype and production boards, • Perform board bring-up, debugging and validation using standard lab equipment, • Document designs clearly and support release packages and engineering records, • Integrate electronics into a larger system and support system-level testing and troubleshooting, • Collaborate with cross-functional engineers to translate requirements into practical, testable hardware solutions, • Support iterative improvements to existing designs as new needs and learnings emerge Qualifications • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required, • Relevant industry experience required, • Demonstrated experience designing PCBs in a professional environment, • Proficiency with at least one major PCB design platform (Altium, KiCad, Eagle, or similar), • Strong foundation in analog and digital circuit design, • Experience working with microcontrollers (ARM, AVR, PIC, ESP32, or similar), • Hands-on debugging skills and comfort working with prototypes and test equipment, • Experience with C/C++ required; familiarity with Python or MATLAB is a plus, • Strong communication, documentation and organizational skills
