Job Description Job Title: Accounting Clerk Location: Kansas City, MO (On-site) Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Job Summary: LHH Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support daily accounting operations in an on-site, contract-to-hire role in Kansas City, MO. This position will focus primarily on manual accounts payable processing while also providing coverage for shared AP and AR email inboxes and backing up accounts receivable functions as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within an accounting team and transition into a long-term role. Key Responsibilities: • Process a high volume of manual accounts payable transactions, including invoice review, data entry, and timely posting, • Match invoices to supporting documentation and resolve discrepancies as needed, • Monitor and manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable email inboxes, responding to vendor and internal inquiries, • Provide backup support to accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment application, and customer follow-up as needed, • Maintain accurate and organized accounting records in accordance with company policies, • Assist with additional accounting and administrative tasks as assigned Qualifications:, • Prior experience in an accounting clerk, accounts payable, or similar role, • Hands-on experience with manual AP processing strongly preferred, • Exposure to accounts receivable processes is a plus, • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, on-site environment, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems Work Environment:, • On-site position in Kansas City, MO, • Contract-to-hire opportunity with potential for long-term employment Benefits:, • 401(k), • Dental insurance, • Health insurance Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour Search managed by: Ashley Eaddy Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
