The opportunity Delaware North Sportservice is searching for an Assistant Catering Manager to join our team at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. As Assistant Catering Manager, you will be assisting with all catered events at the ballpark. Pay Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $43,888 - $54,100 / year In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. These are just some of the benefits we offer: • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, • 401(k) with up to 4% company match, • Annual performance bonus based on level, as well as individual, company, and location performance, • Paid vacation days and holidays, • Paid parental bonding leave, • Tuition and/or professional certification reimbursement, • Generous friends-and-family discounts at many of our hotels and resorts What will you do? • Work closely with the Catering Manager to develop and maintain guest relationships, • Assists with booking, set-up, and tear-down, and full execution of catered events, • Maintain established food presentation and service standards, providing ongoing developments based upon current trends in the catering industry, • Maintain an organized system of comprehensive record-keeping for each catered event, local event days, monthly inventory, requisitions, as well as appropriate levels of related catering supplies and decorations in keeping with the seasons, • Assist with recruitment for hourly team members, including working with the Talent Acquisition team to pre-screen candidates, conduct interviews, and identify individuals for hire More about you • Minimum 2 years’ experience in banquets, catering or event planning, preferrably in high-volume setting, • At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience, • Familiar with the hospitality or entertainment industry, • Strong communication, organizational skills, and customer service skills, • Make informed decisions from analyzed data, • Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the ability to learn catering software Physical requirements • Capacity to stand and walk during shift, ability to move inventory, products, carts, and tables, as well as use kitchen utensils and commercial kitchen equipment, • Possible exposure to variable temperatures and wet and humid conditions Shift details Days Evenings Holidays Weekends Events Who we are Delaware North operates concessions, suites, catering, premium dining, and retail management at Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers since the park opened in 2020.
