Job Description We are recruiting for a Project Manager to work in our Woodridge, IL facility. Our PMs manage multiple projects with a wide range of scope and deliverables. Projects include tradeshow, events, activations, permanent installations, all kinds of experiential work. They provide engineering solutions and help figure out ways to meet a challenge like, “How are we gonna build a windmill for this activation in seven days?” You're kind of like a mini-production manager, making sure the shop is executing the design intent and making the client shine. This is an in-facility position in Woodridge. Some nuts and bolts about the job: • Work with project teams to provide value engineering solutions, specify material, hardware, electrical/lighting specifications and building techniques, • Move projects through their timeline, budget, and deliverables. Get to YES!, • Create and maintain a flexible and evolving production schedule and overall project budget, • Maintain work orders through lifecycle of project for accuracy, intended expectation, execution and final quality assurance, • Create and maintain change orders, keep all documentation in order, • Facilitate and host meetings with project teams, act as information liaison between all team members, • You'll be in constant contact with production (shop and warehouse) and account teams--keeping them updated and getting answers, • Develop a robust external vendor network, • Manage external vendors; provide drawings, check quality, manage output and schedules, • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in project management, production management, or as a producer, • Extensive knowledge of exhibit or event industry, • Experience with woodworking and metal fabrication, • Engineering/technical mind that can provide solutions to wacky challenges, • Knowledge of standard fabrication tools and techniques and blueprints, • An extensive vendor network or the ability to build one and experience sourcing and managing vendors; experience as a vendor in wood, metal, fabrication helpful, • Strong written and oral communication and problem-solving skills, • Ability to lead and positively influence all project members towards client goals, • Experience managing budgets and change order process, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP, various collaboration and PM software and techniques, • Ability to multitask and problem solve at a high level, • College degree preferred, • Flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines
