Occasional mandatory overtime may be required on Saturdays, based on production needs. Shipping Clerk Job Summary The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating, verifying, and processing all outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication with internal departments, carriers, and customers. Shipping Clerk Job Responsibilities Shipping Operations • Prepare, package, and label all outgoing shipments according to customer and company standards via FedEx., • Verify packing list, and pull sheets (quantities, product code, and destination), before paperwork is staged to be pulled., • Process shipping documentation such as bills of lading, packing slips, and carriers after product has shipped., • Schedule pickups with carriers (FedEx, LTL, freight) and ensure on-time departure., • Record all shipments in ERP or warehouse management systems., • Maintain accurate shipment logs and filing systems., • Communicate with warehouse, and customer service teams to confirm order readiness., • Notify team leads or supervisors of any shipping delays or damaged materials., • Ensure packaging meets product protection standards to prevent damage in transit., • Follow all safety and company policies, including forklift operation and PPE requirements., • Warehouse environment with exposure to moderate noise, forklift traffic, and changing temperatures., • High School Diploma or GED required., • 1–3 years of experience in shipping, warehouse, or logistics preferred., • Proficiency with shipping software (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager) and ERP/WMS systems., • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Email)., • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
