Job DescriptionJob Title: Material Handler – Fabrication / Warehouse Associate Job Description The Material Handler – Fabrication plays a key role in supporting production and shipping by efficiently receiving, storing, and dispatching materials and finished products. You will maintain accurate inventory, organize warehouse space, and operate material-handling equipment to ensure that materials and orders flow smoothly through a modern manufacturing environment. Responsibilities • Receive, inspect, and process incoming products, raw materials, and components in accordance with established procedures., • Accurately pick items from inventory based on pick lists, work orders, or customer orders., • Pack orders securely using appropriate materials and prepare shipments with correct labeling and documentation., • Manage, organize, and retrieve stock to support production and on-time order fulfillment., • Inspect products and materials for defects, damages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly., • Organize warehouse and fabrication storage areas to maximize space utilization and maintain a clean, orderly environment., • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory systems and RF scanners to support inventory control and cycle counts., • Check, verify, and fill customer invoices and shipping documents with a high level of accuracy., • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and related material-handling tools safely and efficiently., • Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage., • Follow company quality standards and safety regulations at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment., • Collaborate closely with production, shipping, and other warehouse team members to meet daily production and shipping demands., • Participate in training activities and apply new procedures and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy., • Perform other warehouse and material handling duties as assigned to support overall operations.Essential Skills, • High school diploma or equivalent., • Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or a similar material handling role., • Proficiency with inventory processes, including picking, packing, shipping and receiving, and stock management., • Experience using RF scanners for inventory tracking and order picking., • Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (training and certification may be required)., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking, order picking, and order fulfillment., • Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment., • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team., • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs as part of daily tasks., • Ability to stand or walk for long periods on a manufacturing floor., • Comfort working in an environment with noise, machinery, and varying temperatures., • Willingness and ability to work a rotating 2-2-3 schedule on 12-hour shifts (6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.).Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience as a picker/packer in a warehouse or manufacturing setting., • Background in shipping and receiving operations, including loading and unloading trucks., • Familiarity with electrification or manufacturing environments and supporting production lines., • Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety and quality., • Interest in learning new skills and cross-training in areas such as quality or machine operation., • Ability to adapt to new processes and systems within a growing, evolving organization., • Openness to training, coaching, and development from leads and supervisors.Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work in a brand-new manufacturing facility that will ultimately support approximately 200–250 people on site. The environment is a modern manufacturing floor with active machinery, material-handling equipment, and typical industrial noise levels, as well as exposure to varying temperatures. The role follows a rotating 2-2-3 schedule on 12-hour shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with initial training on a standard Monday–Friday schedule before transitioning to the rotation. During your first week, you will receive comprehensive, hands-on training and then be assigned to a team with a close ratio of producers to leads to support your development. Safety is a priority, and you will be required to wear steel-toe boots and safety glasses (provided), along with long pants made of thicker material (no leggings) and either long sleeves or cut-resistant sleeves, which the company will help supply. The work involves standing and walking for extended periods and occasionally lifting 25–50 lbs while handling materials, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and supporting production and shipping activities in a clean, organized, and safety-focused facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
