Job DescriptionDescription: GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Transportation Manager, the Truck Driver is responsible for transporting, loading, and unloading merchandise to stores, Donation Express centers, Donation trailers and plant headquarters. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with procedures. Documents inspection and reports the need for repairs to Transportation Manager or designee., • Ensures trucks are loaded with supplies necessary to complete daily assignments. Job DescriptionDescription: GENERAL SUMMARY: Reporting to the Outlet Operations Warehouse Manager, the Salvage Processor II is responsible for assisting in the overall processing of salvage materials at one of the Goodwill outlet locations. The Salvage Processor II will process materials that are being recycled from our stores and sold out of our outlets or to salvage vendors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provides quality customer service in a timely and courteous manner to all donors., • Responsible for accepting or rejecting donations according to the guidelines., • Responsible for placing clothing orders from Goodwill Store., • Responsible for entering inventory into excel spreadsheet for monthly reports., • Sort donations in designated areas., • Adhere to principles of workstation organization., • Loads/unloads donated good safely and effectively., • Provides the proper attention to site appearance and cleanliness., • Keep management informed of program needs., • Gather information from clients either in person or by telephone to determine their needs and eligibility for assistance., • Conduct intake process and prepare intake records for participants accepted for assistance, • Document any pertinent information in participant files., • Monitor on-site participant’s observance of program rules. Document rule violations and write incident reports when applicable., • De-escalate crisis and respond to crisis situations in a calm manner., • Comprehend and adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality laws., • Prepare monthly reports as directed., • Attend trainings and meetings as directed. Other Duties/Responsibilities • Establish and maintain positive relations with the general public, funding agency, participants and other staff., • Ensures compliance with all Goodwill Industries Sacramento Valley Northern Nevada and Next Move policies, CARF standards, and safety and security regulations. Basic Qualifications of the Role: • Must have basic interpersonal communication skills., • Must be able to maintain order, resolve conflict and perform crisis intervention when needed., • Understand basic housekeeping and facility standards., • Must be able to lift 50 pounds., • Must work effectively with staff, participants and the public., • Ability to work irregular hours including weekends and holidays., • Experience using basic computer, peripheral equipment and Microsoft Office software., • Must not present a direct threat to the safety and health of self, others or property., • No record or disclosure of criminal conviction that indicates a tendency toward theft, violence, dishonesty, deceit, drug manufacture or sale, moral turpitude, or predatory behavior., • Must provide proof of identification and eligibility to work in the United States of America., • Must be required to pass a drug and background screening., • High School diploma or GED with one (1) year of experience working effectively with the public in a community setting; or AA degree or other degree with emphasis in social science or closely related field; or any combination of education, training, and experience, which would provide the knowledge and ability to complete the duties outlined above., • None WORK CONDITIONS/HAZARDS: • Work is performed in all kinds of conditions inside and outside the facility, • Limited hazards due to lifting, pulling and pushing by self or others, • Requires a high level of adaptability and flexibility, • Work environment usually hectic (fast paced) with frequent short deadlines and regular instances of critical or unusual situations.
