New Orleans, LA | Full-Time | Hybrid (Office + WFH) PERK Social Media is looking for an experienced Senior Social Media Content Creator to join our growing content team. We're a social media ONLY marketing agency. That distinction matters. We aren't looking for someone to make content simply because a content calendar says we need a post. We're looking for someone who understands what makes great social content work and wants to help us make better content for our clients every day. You should love creating. You should also love social media. You pay attention to what's happening on Instagram and TikTok. You notice trends, conversations, memes, news and cultural moments before someone has to point them out to you. More importantly, you know how to take something topical and turn it into a creative idea that makes sense for a specific brand and audience. You understand the difference between content that looks good and content that works. Sometimes the goal is views. Sometimes it's engagement or audience growth. Sometimes we need people to click, take action or enter a lead funnel. Great social content starts with understanding what we're trying to accomplish. What You'll Do You'll work alongside our account managers and content team to develop ideas and turn social media strategies into great content. That includes brainstorming and researching ideas, developing concepts and hooks, directing clients and talent, shooting vertical video and photography, editing, and helping determine what we should create next based on what's working. You'll work across multiple brands, industries and audiences, so your creative approach can't look the same for every client. You'll also spend plenty of time outside the office. Our creators work directly with clients, direct people who may not be comfortable on camera, capture events and recognize unexpected content opportunities while they're happening. This is not a position for someone who wants to sit behind a desk making graphics all day. Who We're Looking For We're looking for a professional creator with at least 2 years of experience creating social media content for brands, businesses, organizations or an agency. At a minimum, you should have personally created 50+ vertical videos for businesses or organizations that have been published within the past two years. You should be able to show us your work. That can be a portfolio, social media accounts you've helped create content for, or links to individual pieces of content. We want to see variety and understand what you were responsible for creating. You should be comfortable shooting and editing vertical video, capturing strong photography and directing people to get the best possible content. Experience with professional cameras is a plus, but not required. Experience with tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop, Canva and other modern creative tools is valuable. Basic graphic design ability is a plus, but we are not hiring a full-time graphic designer. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is: Creative and assertive. Curious and constantly learning. Comfortable with clients. Open to coaching and feedback. Collaborative with a team. Organized enough to manage multiple brands and deadlines. Fast enough to work at agency pace without sacrificing quality. PERK is always learning how to get better at social media. We want someone who approaches their own work the same way. About PERK PERK is a New Orleans-based social media agency built around one thing: social media. We're committed to building a talent-driven agency with great strategists, account managers and creators who want to push what's possible for our clients. We're especially passionate about vertical video, topical content and finding ways to turn what's happening online and in the real world into opportunities for brands. If you're obsessed with what makes content perform and want to be surrounded by people who care about getting better at social media, we'd like to meet you. The Details • Full-time position based in New Orleans, • Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days work from home, • Typical workday is Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM, • Occasional evening and weekend shoots or events, • $50,000-$65,000 salary, based on experience, • Individual growth plan with opportunities for compensation and responsibility to grow based on performance, • Health insurance with PERK covering 50% of the employee premium, • Company-provided MacBook, phone and content production equipment, • Mileage reimbursement for qualifying client travel, • Reliable transportation required, • Target start date: early November Interested? Show us what you've made. Send us your resume and links to your portfolio, social accounts, vertical videos, photography or other work you're proud of. We're much more interested in seeing great work and meeting talented people than reading the perfect cover letter. If you've spent the last few years creating content for brands and you're ready to make even better work with a team that's all-in on social media, we want to hear from you. Apply through LinkedIn or email, hello@perksocialmedia.com
