Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year A bit about us: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead electrical scope execution on complex commercial construction projects. This role offers a unique blend of field leadership and office collaboration, with approximately 50% travel to project sites and 50% time based in Birmingham. You’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality projects through strong field execution, team leadership, and ownership of safety, schedule, and performance outcomes. Why join us? Electrical Superintendent Location: Birmingham, AL (Hybrid: Office + Travel) Full-Time | ~50% Travel Required Compensation & Travel Benefits • Base Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 + performance-based bonus, • Hotel booked through company system (Corpay), • Lodging fully covered, • $190/day per diem, • Employee responsible for arranging and covering lodging (e.g., Airbnb or other accommodations) Job Details The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for end-to-end execution of the electrical scope from mobilization through final inspection. This includes ownership of: • Safety and compliance, • Schedule and production, • Quality and inspections, • Resource planning and coordination ?? Key Responsibilities Safety, Schedule & Quality • Enforce jobsite safety standards, pre-task planning, and compliance requirements (including ICRA for healthcare projects), • Own and manage the electrical schedule, including look-aheads and proactive recovery planning, • Ensure all installations meet code, contract specifications, and quality standards, • Coordinate and hold subcontractors accountable to schedule and quality expectations Resource & Field Coordination • Manage material procurement to ensure proper quantities and timing, • Oversee tool inventory, staging, and readiness for each phase, • Coordinate subcontractor mobilization, sequencing, and scope alignment, • Forecast labor and material needs and communicate proactively with project management Productivity & Team Leadership • Drive daily production performance across electrical crews, • Monitor productivity and identify inefficiencies using tools such as Procore, • Coach Foremen and field teams on sequencing, execution, and continuous improvement, • Implement field strategies to reduce labor hours, rework, and material waste Cost & Margin Management • Understand project budgets and the electrical scope’s financial impact, • Track costs vs. plan and proactively address variances, • Minimize rework, over-ordering, and inefficient labor utilization, • Partner with project management to capture and process change orders ?? What Success Looks Like • Strong ownership of project outcomes, not just tasks, • Consistent delivery of safe, on-time, high-quality electrical work, • Clear communication and proactive problem-solving, • Data-driven decision-making and accountability, • Continuous improvement in field execution and team performance ?? Qualifications Required • Master Electrician license, • 10+ years of experience in the electrical trade, • 2–3+ years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent on commercial projects, • Strong proficiency in Excel for tracking productivity, costs, and reporting, • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (~50%), • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check Preferred • Career progression from Journeyman ? Foreman ? Superintendent, • Experience working on healthcare projects (ICRA compliance, medical systems), • Experience with prefab and modular electrical installation, • Proficiency with Procore or similar project management tools, • OSHA 30 certification Interested in hearing more?
