Job Description Now Hiring: Trainer Location: Southwood Interventions, 5701 S Wood Street, Chicago, IL 60636 Salary Range: $52,000 annually Job Type: Full-time Shift : Monday - Friday Southwood Interventions is seeking a dedicated and innovative Trainer to join our team. This role is essential in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organization. This candidate will have a strong background and skill set that is detail oriented. This candidate must also have the ability to audit records and be familiar with Illinois regulations. The candidate should be energetic, process-oriented, and excited to teach Duties/Responsibilities: • Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for new hires and current employees., • Develops unique training programs to fulfill workers’ specific needs to maintain or improve job skills., • Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials., • Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lectures, and videos., • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements., • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback., • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development., • Prepares and implements training budget; maintains records and reports of expenses., • Performs tasks related to managing office operations, including answering phones, scheduling meetings, managing calendars, filing documents, handling emails, preparing reports, ordering office supplies, and maintaining records., • Performs other related duties as required., • Review and audit employee training records and client records, • Understand Illinois rules and regulations, • Provide quality assurance tasks for the agency., • Design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive training programs tailored to meet the needs of various departments., • Collaborate with HR management to identify skill gaps and create targeted learning solutions., • Conduct research on industry best practices to ensure training content is relevant and up-to-date., • Facilitate employee orientation sessions to onboard new hires effectively., • Support succession planning initiatives by identifying high-potential employees and creating development plans., • Present training materials in an engaging manner to ensure participant understanding and retention., • Assist in recruiting efforts by providing training on interview techniques and candidate evaluation processes., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Strong presentation skills., • Detail oriented., • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods., • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives., • Ability to utilize a learning management system to effectively track and monitor training of all employees., • Ability to design and implement effective training and development., • Proven experience in human resources or a related field, with a focus on talent management and employee development., • Proficiency in using e-learning software is highly desirable., • Strong research skills to gather information on training methodologies and industry trends., • Experience in succession planning, employee orientation, recruiting, and employee relations is preferred., • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively. Education: • Associate degree preferred., • At least 21 years of age., • Have a Valid driver’s license., • Pass a Physical exam including TB and drug testing., • Criminal clearances are required through State Police, FBI, and Child Abuse checks., • Successful completion of all background and pre-employment checks.
