Job DescriptionSalary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year Job Summary: CORYS is seeking a hands-on Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician to support simulator systems, technical equipment, and day-to-day operational needs in our Jacksonville office. This role blends traditional I&C technical skills with broader operational support responsibilities. The I&C Technician will assist with wiring, system integration, troubleshooting, equipment setup, and maintenance of simulator hardware and associated systems. In addition to technical responsibilities, this role supports general operations, organization, and adherence to processes to keep projects and daily activities running smoothly. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with control systems and instrumentation but is also comfortable stepping outside a strict job box to help wherever needed. Job Duties: Operational Coordination • Support day-to-day operations and help ensure workflows run smoothly, • Coordinate tasks, timelines, and follow-ups across teams Instrumentation & Controls Support • Assist with installation, wiring, labeling, and testing of control panels, I/O systems, and simulator hardware, • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation, control components, and related system hardware, • Help configure and verify signals, devices, and system interfaces during builds and upgrades Inventory & Resource Coordination • Track and organize inventory, materials, and shared resources, • Maintain accurate records for receiving, storage, and usage Process Improvement & Problem Solving • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement, • Build or refine simple workflows, tools, and systems Equipment Support • Maintain and organize technical work areas, tools, and equipment, • Assist with setup, teardown, and movement of simulator components and related hardware Cross-Functional & Technical Support • Provide flexible operational and administrative support across teams, • Step in as a catch-all resource when needs or priorities shift, • Assist with hands-on tasks such as assembly, wiring, or setup as needed, • Follow documentation, drawings or instructions and help troubleshoot basic issues, • Reinforce good practices related to organization, material handling, and process consistency, • Assist with general technical and operational tasks as priorities shift Qualifications and Skills: • Vocational/Technical certification or Bachelors degree in a STEM-related field preferred, • 10+ years of experience as an I&C Technician, Controls Technician, or similar technical role, • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage a large, diverse workload, • Tech-savvy with experience using spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets) and CMS/document management systems, • Comfortable learning new tools and systems independently, • Experience with wiring, I/O systems, panels, or industrial control components, • Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical and control-related systems, • Resourceful, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset, • Ability to read and follow electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams Job Type: • Full-time, • On-site required, • Jacksonville, FL office Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year Benefits: • Vacation / PTO, • 401(k), • Health insurance, • Dental insurance, • Vision insurance About CORYS, Inc.
