Job Description Staff Accountant Location: Golden Valley, MN (Hybrid) Company: LHH Employment Type: Permanent Compensation: $65,000-$75,000 (DOE) About the Role LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team in Golden Valley. This position plays a key role in month-end close, fixed assets, variance analysis, and supporting both operational and eCommerce-focused accounting functions. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and committed to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts., • Own the fixed asset close process , partnering with project managers to provide accurate accounting guidance and ensure proper capitalization., • Participate in the monthly financial review , researching and explaining financial variances., • Reconcile fixed assets and intercompany balances to ensure compliance with US GAAP ., • Support the eCommerce business by analyzing financial data and offering recommendations for improvement., • Assist with year-end audit preparation, including schedules, support, and responses to auditor inquiries., • Contribute to special accounting projects and various financial analyses as needed. What You Need to Succeed Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field., • 2+ years of professional accounting experience , preferably in public accounting or a manufacturing environment., • Strong foundation in US GAAP ., • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel , Word, and PowerPoint., • Experience working within ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred)., • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail., • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset., • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills. Physical, Mental & Environmental Requirements, • Frequent sitting, talking, hearing, and hands-on computer work., • Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 lbs., • Standard office environment with moderate noise levels., • Requires strong reasoning ability, decision-making skills, and mathematical competency.
