Advance your pediatric critical care nursing career in historic Charleston, South Carolina. • Position: Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool RN / Pediatric ICU Nurse / Travel RN, • Location: Charleston, SC 29401 — Charleston pediatric nursing jobs, South Carolina RN jobs, • Contract Type: Travel Assignment (Float Pool), • Start Date: March 30, 2026, • End Date: June 29, 2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1800 – $1890, • Hours per Week: 36, • Shift: 3x12-hour days (07:00 – 19:30), • Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend; holiday rotation required, • Float Requirement: Float to all pediatric critical care units (CVPICU, NICU, PICU), • Patient Ratios: Typically 1:2 or 1:3, • Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks, • Flu Vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions considered), • COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required, • Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric ICU (PICU/CVPICU/NICU) experience required, • Licensure: Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (pending considered with proof of application; must be active prior to start), • Certifications: BLS and PALS (AHA only), • Preferred Experience: ECMO and CRRT experience a plus, • Clinical Skills: Dysrhythmia interpretation/management, central/PICC/implanted line care, anti-seizure medication administration, continuous sedation management, IV vasopressors, pediatric dosage calculations, ICP monitoring, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilator care, acute airway management, ABG interpretation, infection control and isolation precautions/PPE, • Charting: EMR/EHR documentation experience required, • First-Time Travelers: Accepted if all experience requirements are met, • Deliver expert, family-centered critical care to pediatric patients across CVPICU, NICU, and PICU units, • Float between pediatric critical care units as assigned, adapting quickly to varied workflows and patient populations, • Perform comprehensive assessments, continuous monitoring, and rapid interventions for complex pediatric conditions, • Administer and titrate medications, including sedation and vasoactive drips, per hospital protocol, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social work, rapid response) to optimize patient outcomes, • Maintain accurate EMR/EHR documentation and adhere to infection prevention and safety standards Ready to take your pediatric critical care skills to the next level?
