Opportunity available for an experienced Back-End Developer for a contract, hybrid role (W2 only; no 3rd parties or C2C) to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Java, Kotlin, Spring, and PostgreSQL, along with expertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs and developing microservices architectures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performing, and maintainable solutions while contributing to architecture and best practices. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based backend systems and RESTful APIs, • Build scalable and secure services using Java and Kotlin with Spring / Spring Boot, • Develop and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, • Implement containerized applications using Docker, • Collaborate with team members using Git and follow established workflows, • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend performance and reliability issues, • Participate in code and design reviews, contributing to architecture and microservices best practices, • Support hybrid work model with partial on-site presence as required Required Skills & Qualifications • Strong experience with Java and Kotlin, • Hands-on experience with Spring / Spring Boot, • Experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs, • Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures, • Proficiency with PostgreSQL or other relational databases, • Experience with Docker for containerized application development, • Strong knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows, • Understanding of backend performance, scalability, and security best practices ITR Group offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, and 401(k) for eligible employees. The W2 pay range for this type of role is approximately $75.00 - $85.00 per billable hour. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee of compensation.
