Job DescriptionDescription: Xiente’s Early Childhood programs is a multi-site, multi funded, dual language immersion program, offering high-quality Early Childhood Services in both English and Spanish. We offer a state-licensed, full-day program for children ages birth-5 years old. We provide a safe and nurturing environment that encourages physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development through a developmentally age-appropriate curriculum. Ensures that lesson plans align with PA Learning Standards and Early Learning Outcomes Framework. (ELOF), • Provide consistent classroom routines and facilitate all parts of the routine to support child learning and model expectations, procedures, and scaffolds appropriately., • Strive to meet School Readiness Goals., • Document children through ongoing observation, embedded and direct assessment activities. 1 observation per child weekly is the minimum., • Complete quarterly Teaching Strategies Gold assessment checkpoints for each child., • Analyze Child assessment data to plan, monitor progress, and individualize. Also, align assessment with instructional goals and standards and use assessment results to monitor progress and adjust instruction in literacy, mathematics, and science in both English and Spanish., • Complete ASQ’s developmental and social-emotional screenings on all children within the 45 days., • Complete bimonthly SLO assessments on time in both English and Spanish. 80% of transitioning students should meet the minimum benchmarks., • Complete Monthly Individualized plans to identify specific goals and strategies for each child in the class., • Integrate IFSP’s/ IEP’s or referral action plans for children with diagnosed or suspected special needs., • Establish positive and productive relationships with families, building rapport and trust, by keeping positive communication with families and responding to concerns with professional and cultural sensitivity., • Hold 2 home visits and 2 parent-teacher conferences each year per child., • Engage family members to serve as classroom volunteers., • Collaborate with Family Advocates to support families and extend learning into the home and meeting expectations for attendance., • Maintain accurate, confidential and up to date children files and portfolios., • Participate in ongoing reflective coaching and self-assessment., • Participate in the mandate and ongoing professional development identified by assessment, interest, and needs. Develops own professional development plan on PA Keys., • Collaborate with other staff in the center., • Share pertinent information with family services, disabilities/ mental health or health/ nutrition staff to meet the needs of individual children and families. Participate in case conferences/ interdisciplinary conferences., • Create and maintain a safe, clean, healthy learning environment with full supervision of children at all times, per head start and childcare licensing requirements., • Conduct Daily health and safety monitoring indoor and outdoor. Job Description ABOUT US Barclay Farm Swim Club is a Members Only swim club located in Cherry Hill New Jersey. During our summer season beyond meeting the needs of our members, we also host a summer camp for children aged Kindergarten to 11 years old. If this sounds good to you so far, keep reading... We are seeking responsible young adults to be Lifeguards for the 2026 swimming season. Our address is located inside the Barclay Farm neighborhood at 315 Whitemarsh Way, Cherry Hill, New Jersey 08034. Barclay Farm Swim Club is a seasonal outdoor swimming facility that boasts a high dive, a 12ft Well deep end, lap lanes, baby pool (not the responsibility of the lifeguards), snack bar, courts for playing and plenty of grass for running. Guards need to be comfortable supervising children and adults in water 4ft to 12ft, as well as supervising the surrounding pool deck. While it is the responsibility of the lifeguard to supervise the safety of the campers near and in the water, the campers are also supervised by camp counselors. RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise swimming activities and ensure that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed. Warn swimmers of improper activities or behavior. Administer basic First Aid, CPR and/ or rescues in the event of injury, distress or danger of drowning. Evaluate conditions and initiate aquatic emergency action plan as needed. Inspect pool area, equipment and rescue apparatus to ensure that they are safe and usable. Empty skimmer baskets, vacuum pool and skim pool surface. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility (cleaning the office and bathrooms, collecting and removing trash and recycling). Evaluate a swimmer’s ability to succeed in the band test. Supervise and operate the front desk. Effectively communicate with members (children and adults), campers, camp counselors, swim coaches, camp director, co-workers, and manager. Be a positive role model. QUALIFICATIONS American Red Cross Lifeguarding/CPR/AED/First Aid w/ Deep Water for Professional Rescuer Certification (). Age 15+. Excellent communication skills. Can sit for an extended period of time. Can actively scan the pool area for an extended period of time. Can lift and/ or help move objects that have some weight to them. INFO/ KEY DATES Lifeguards are needed for PM swim team practice M-TH from after Memorial weekend to the end of school. Lifeguards are needed for AM swim team practice M-F from end of school until mid August. Lifeguards are needed early AM on 3-4 Saturdays for swim team meets (7:30am). We host Pasta Parties for the Swim Team on Friday Nights. We host themed activities and birthday parties for members throughout the season. Pre Memorial Weekend: Complete employment paperwork, mandatory 2hr paid training. Memorial Weekend (May 23rd): Pool opens for members. Post Memorial Weekend > End of School Year: The pool is only open Monday - Thursday PM for swim team practice 5pm - 7pm (2 lifeguards are scheduled). The pool is open for members Friday evening through Sunday evening. End of School Year > September 7th*: The pool is open for members everyday from 12pm to 8/9pm weather permitting. Summer Camp runs Monday - Friday until 4pm. The pool will be busy with kids from 12pm - 3:30ish during the week. PAY AND SCHEDULING Starting pay is at least $16 hour. Automatic increase in pay for returning guards. Typically 4 > 5 hour shifts. Guards rotate positions every 20 minutes (guard > guard > office). When you rotate to the office you are allowed to be on your phone as long as you are engaging with members during check-in. Flexible scheduling.
