Job Description The Assistant Server – Pit Stop is responsible supporting the service team by delivering food promptly and accurately, maintaining cleanliness of the dining area, and ensuring that service stations are well-stocked. This role plays a key part in creating a smooth and positive guest experience by communicating effectively between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and upholding excellent customer service. This position supports efficient restaurant operations by providing prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service in accordance with AAA Four Diamond standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Delivers food and beverages promptly and accurately using pivot point service standards to ensure efficiency, consistency, and guest satisfaction., • Follows proper serving techniques and presentation standards for all menu items and beverages., • Maintains thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation standards, to answer guest inquiries and assist servers., • Provides outstanding guest service with professionalism, attentiveness, and a welcoming attitude at all times., • Prioritizes and expedites VIP, special, and to-go orders with urgency, accuracy, and attention to detail, ensuring order completeness and quality presentation., • Busses, cleans, and resets tables quickly and efficiently to maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready dining environment., • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the workstation, food service line, and dining areas throughout the shift., • Prepares and restocks sides, condiments, garnishes, and accompanying items to support timely and accurate food service., • Replenishes supplies at service stations, including silverware, napkins, condiments, glassware, and other dining essentials, to ensure readiness throughout service periods., • Assists with stocking the bakery and other designated areas as directed by supervisors to maintain operational efficiency., • Fosters effective communication and coordination between kitchen, front-of-house, and support staff to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely service delivery., • Completes assigned opening, closing, and daily side work duties in accordance with operational and cleanliness standards., • Adheres to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling, cleaning, and emergency response procedures., • Maintains a professional appearance at all times by adhering to all grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards., • Verifies guest identification to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and adheres to all ABC regulations, RBS training standards, and internal policies. QUALIFICATIONS: • Strong verbal communication skills and guest service orientation., • Ability to interact tactfully and diplomatically with coworkers and guests., • High level of professionalism and attention to detail., • High school diploma or equivalent preferred., • Food Handler Certification required or must be obtained upon hire., • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a food service support role such as busser, food runner, or assistant server., • Familiarity with guest service standards, table maintenance, and food delivery procedures., • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment., • Prior experience in a quick-service, café, or casual dining setting is preferred. Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests. Requires effective listening and verbal interaction to take and deliver orders accurately., • Lifting and Carrying: Frequently lifts and carries trays, food items, dishes, and beverages weighing up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required., • Manual Dexterity: Constant use of hands and arms to carry trays, pour beverages, and operate POS systems and cleaning tools., • Mobility: Frequently moves about the dining area, kitchen, and service stations. Requires the ability to stand and walk continuously for extended periods throughout the shift., • Stationary Work: Seldom seated; this is a physically active position with prolonged periods of standing and walking., • Tool Operation: Regular use of point-of-sale (POS) terminals, beverage dispensers, and other food service equipment., • Visual Acuity: Must be able to quickly identify food items, read order tickets, and monitor guest needs in a busy environment. This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the ability to adapt and perform under pressure. The casino operates with moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment, requiring team members to work comfortably in these conditions. WORKING HOURS: Morongo Casino Resort & Spa operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; therefore, flexibility in scheduling is essential. Team members must be available to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may include overtime, as well as work on both weekdays and weekends.
