Job Description *Immediate hire, must be able to start ASAP* MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING OUTSIDE** • We are seeking a hardworking and physically fit Skilled Laborer to join our underground construction crew. You will assist our foremen and equipment operators with the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utilities (e.g., water, sewer, fiber optic, or electrical lines). The ideal candidate thrives outdoors in varying weather conditions, possesses strong stamina, and is committed to strict OSHA safety standards., • Key Responsibilities, • Excavation & Trenching: Perform heavy manual labor, including hand-digging, potholing, and excavating around existing underground utilities to prevent damage., • Pipelaying & Conduit: Assist in laying, joining, and connecting pipes (PVC, ductile iron, concrete) and installing underground conduits for fiber optics or electrical lines., • Site Preparation & Restoration: Clear job sites, load and unload materials, backfill trenches, and tamp soil to restore worksites., • Equipment Operations: Safely operate specialized hand and power tools such as jackhammers, compactors, and air compressors. Signal and assist heavy equipment operators., • Safety & Compliance: Identify potential hazards, erect traffic control/barricades, and strictly adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols., • Qualifications & Requirements, • Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in underground utility construction, general civil construction, or trenching., • Physical Stamina: Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, and move heavy objects (50–75 lbs.), bend, stoop, kneel, and work in trenches or confined spaces., • Work Conditions: Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, sometimes with required overtime "We are proud to be a Fair Chance employer. Job DescriptionLocation: Out-of-town work. Primarily Florida and the Southern United States.Starting Wage: $20.00–$22.00/hour (depending on experience).Overtime: Paid after 40 hours/week.Training: Full in-house training provided. We are looking for motivated, dependable individuals to join our Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) crew. This is an entry-level labour position where you’ll learn the HDD industry while becoming a valuable member of a professional drilling crew. Hard work, reliability, and a willingness to learn are essential. This is not a typical 8-hour construction job. Expect approximately 12-hour days, shift work, and extended periods working away from home. Job Responsibilities: As a labourer, you’ll be an essential member of the drilling crew. Responsibilities include: • Mixing and maintaining drilling fluid (“mud mixing”)., • Loading, unloading, and organizing tools, equipment, and materials., • Assisting with mobilization and demobilization of equipment., • Setting up and tearing down job sites., • General labour, housekeeping, and site cleanup., • Assisting with fueling, maintenance, and daily inspections., • Handling hoses, pipe, and other heavy materials., • Working safely around heavy equipment and underground utilities., • Performing other labour duties as required to support the crew., • No previous HDD experience is required. We will train the right candidate. Job Requirements: This position is physically demanding. Applicants must be able to. • Lift and carry 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the day., • Perform manual labour for approximately 12-hour shifts., • Work outdoors in all weather conditions., • Bend, kneel, climb, shovel, and work on uneven ground., • Follow instructions and work safely around heavy equipment., • Work as part of a team while maintaining a strong work ethic. Required Qualifications: • Valid driver’s license (required)., • Steel-toe work boots (required)., • Reliable, punctual, and willing to travel., • Ability to legally work in the United States. All other required PPE is provided by the company. Ideal Candidates: • Experience in construction, pipeline, utilities, oilfield, heavy equipment, landscaping, farming, or other physically demanding industries is considered an asset—but it is not required.
