Job DescriptionLocation: Out-of-town work. Primarily Florida and the Southern United States.Starting Wage: $20.00–$22.00/hour (depending on experience).Overtime: Paid after 40 hours/week.Training: Full in-house training provided. We are looking for motivated, dependable individuals to join our Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) crew. This is an entry-level labour position where you’ll learn the HDD industry while becoming a valuable member of a professional drilling crew. Hard work, reliability, and a willingness to learn are essential. This is not a typical 8-hour construction job. Expect approximately 12-hour days, shift work, and extended periods working away from home. Job Responsibilities: As a labourer, you’ll be an essential member of the drilling crew. Responsibilities include: • Mixing and maintaining drilling fluid (“mud mixing”)., • Loading, unloading, and organizing tools, equipment, and materials., • Assisting with mobilization and demobilization of equipment., • Setting up and tearing down job sites., • General labour, housekeeping, and site cleanup., • Assisting with fueling, maintenance, and daily inspections., • Handling hoses, pipe, and other heavy materials., • Working safely around heavy equipment and underground utilities., • Performing other labour duties as required to support the crew., • No previous HDD experience is required. We will train the right candidate. Job Requirements: This position is physically demanding. Applicants must be able to. • Lift and carry 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the day., • Perform manual labour for approximately 12-hour shifts., • Work outdoors in all weather conditions., • Bend, kneel, climb, shovel, and work on uneven ground., • Follow instructions and work safely around heavy equipment., • Work as part of a team while maintaining a strong work ethic. Required Qualifications: • Valid driver’s license (required)., • Steel-toe work boots (required)., • Reliable, punctual, and willing to travel., • Ability to legally work in the United States. All other required PPE is provided by the company. Ideal Candidates: • Experience in construction, pipeline, utilities, oilfield, heavy equipment, landscaping, farming, or other physically demanding industries is considered an asset—but it is not required.
