Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to support a busy legal team in Coral Gables, Florida. This is a Contract position requiring 20 hours per week in an office-based setting, with occasional extended hours when deadlines demand additional support. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in transactional legal work, comfort assisting with litigation matters, and advanced document formatting skills in Microsoft Word. Responsibilities: • Prepare, revise, and organize a range of commercial legal documents, including operating agreements, asset purchase agreements, and licensing contracts., • Review and mark changes between legal drafts, ensuring edits are accurate and clearly documented through redlining and document comparison tools., • Provide corporate paralegal support by assisting with governance records, written consents, bylaws, and ongoing entity maintenance tasks., • Support litigation matters through legal research, motion-related assistance, and monitoring of federal case activity and deadlines., • Maintain case and entity records within appropriate systems to keep legal files current, organized, and accessible., • Create and format complex legal documents in Microsoft Word, including tables, footnotes, hyperlinks, cross-references, and other advanced formatting elements., • Coordinate with attorneys and internal stakeholders to help keep transactional and litigation work moving efficiently and on schedule., • Offer additional support outside standard hours when urgent filings, transactions, or time-sensitive legal deadlines arise.• At least 3 years of paralegal experience with a combination of transactional and litigation support responsibilities., • Demonstrated experience drafting and revising commercial agreements and handling redlined document versions with accuracy., • Working knowledge of corporate legal matters, including governance documents, entity records, and related maintenance activities., • Strong litigation support skills, including legal research, motion practice assistance, and case monitoring., • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including document comparison, tables, footnotes, hyperlinks, cross-referencing, and formatting control., • Fast and accurate typing skills, ideally 80+ words per minute, with consideration for lower speeds when paired with exceptional drafting and Word expertise., • Experience using case management software and maintaining organized legal documentation in a detail-focused office environment.
