ABOUT THE JOB: We're looking for an experienced and strategic HR Business Partner to help us strengthen our workforce, enhance employee experience, and align HR initiatives with business goals. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with department leaders, HR colleagues, and cross-functional teams to support workforce planning, drive employee engagement, and ensure smooth execution of HR programs. You'll play a key role in analyzing HR data to inform decisions, managing core HR functions, and fostering a culture of collaboration and service excellence. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Targeted HR Alignment • Collaborate with project managers and department leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals., • Provide support and guidance on HR-related initiatives to support business objectives. Employee Relations & Engagement • Serve as a trusted partner to managers and employees on workplace issues, conflict resolution, and performance concerns., • Promote a positive work environment by supporting employee engagement initiatives and feedback mechanisms., • Partner with leadership to identify talent gaps and understand staffing needs., • Collaborate with training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and knowledge., • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, coaching, and feedback. Orientation & Onboarding • Conduct orientation and onboarding processes for new employees to ensure smooth integration into the company., • Ensure new hires understand company policies, culture, and expectations., • Provide excellent candidate experience by ensuring clear communication, timely follow-ups, personalized engagement, and a smooth process that reflects the company's values and culture. HR Administration & Systems • Administer employee benefits programs and address employee inquiries related to benefits, compensation, and company policies., • Manage HRIS systems and maintain accurate employee records., • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures to align with industry regulations and company objectives. Change Management & Culture Stewardship • Guide teams through organizational changes, ensuring communication, alignment, and support., • Champion company culture and values, ensuring they are embedded in local practices and behaviors., • Act as a cultural translator between corporate and local teams, helping bridge gaps and foster understanding. Data-Driven Decision Making • Analyze HR metrics (e.g., turnover, engagement, performance trends) to inform business decisions., • Provide insights and recommendations based on data to improve organizational effectiveness. Compliance & Risk Management • Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local laws., • Partner with legal and compliance teams on sensitive matters and policy interpretation., • Support audits and maintain documentation for regulatory requirements. Communication & Collaboration • Act as a liaison between corporate HR and local teams, ensuring consistent messaging and execution., • Communicate HR programs, policies, and changes effectively across the organization., • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across departments and locations. In addition to your passion and purpose, to be successful in this HR Business Partner role, you will possess the following: Technical & Analytical Skills • Ability to analyze HR data and provide insights for decision-making., • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite., • Familiarity with employment laws, compliance standards, and HR best practices. Communication & Collaboration • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization. Customer Service & Employee Experience • Customer service mindset with a focus on employee support and satisfaction., • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion, empathy, and professionalism. Organizational & Project Management Skills • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities., • Experience coordinating onboarding, training, and development programs., • Capable of implementing HR policies and procedures effectively. Cultural Awareness & Change Management • Understanding of organizational culture and ability to foster alignment across locations., • Experience supporting change management initiatives and driving cultural integration. Background: • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field., • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred., • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in both generalist and strategic HR roles., • Knowledge of construction industry terminology and practices is a plus, along with experience in the civil services industry is huge!, • Experience working in multi-site or decentralized organizations., • Strong understanding of HR principles, regulations, and best practices., • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills., • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite., • Detailed-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
