Job DescriptionJoin Our Team as an Infectious Disease Physician We are looking for a board-certified or board-eligible Infectious Disease physician to become part of our growing Division of Infectious Diseases within the Department of Medicine, located in Charleston, South Carolina. This role aims to enhance access to healthcare and cater to a diverse patient demographic throughout the Charleston region. The position offers options for either a clinical educator or a modified clinical track, with primary duties based at our Main Hospital in downtown Charleston, along with opportunities for outreach care in nearby communities. About the Division of Infectious Diseases Our division comprises 21 physicians and 3 advanced practice providers, all committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care, advancing research, and fostering education. Faculty members spearhead essential institutional initiatives such as infection control, antimicrobial stewardship, and transplant infectious diseases. For over 30 years, we have provided comprehensive HIV care, supported by the HRSA Ryan White Program and SC DHEC. Our active research focuses on areas including HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, antimicrobial resistance, and related fields. We also offer educational programs, including a two-year Infectious Diseases Fellowship and a one-year Transplant Infectious Diseases Fellowship, which provide extensive clinical and research training.
