Job Description JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring that, in partnership with key stakeholders, data intelligence is accurate, timely, and aligned with business insight objectives. Combines advanced analytical expertise, knowledge of the financial industry, and programming skills to research, collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets from internal and external sources. This position works with the Chief Financial Officer and stakeholders to determine data insights most critical to the organization's success. The position will create data architectures, reporting and dashboards in partnership with stakeholders needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned,. • Develop new enterprise business intelligence (BI) service offerings, content creation, and value propositions to support and improve business processes., • Collaborate with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery., • Provide ongoing development and maintenance of an operational data store and enterprise data warehouse using BI best practices, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, structured query language skills, data warehouse and reporting techniques, • Enhance processes regarding data. Improves the quality, accuracy, visibility and usability of the data., • Provide ongoing development and maintenance of a BI architecture that enables fact-based decision making and ad-hoc analysis and insight generation. Provide end-user support and encourage user adoption., • Act as Tier 1 support for endusers of BI tools. Trainend-users on basic functionality. Direct users to training material and available resources., • Under general direction, responsible for converting business requirements and high level data collection needs into well-specified analyses, reporting and visualizations., • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: • Complies with Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering/CIP (U.S. Patriot Act) procedures and policies., • Provides members with courteous, friendly service, which exceeds their expectations while processing transactions promptly, efficiently and accurately., • Follows UT Federal Credit Union's Financial CU's "Standards of Professionalism" to represent the credit union to members in a professional manner through written and verbal communications, attitude, business attire, work area, and thorough knowledge of our products and services., • Meets individual quality service goals as identified in your performance action plan., • Be an effective team member through cooperation, flexibility, dependability, attendance, lack of tardiness and participation at meetings and training., • Accurately applies technical job knowledge and skills to complete all work in a timely manner in accordance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements while managing varying degrees of work. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None. This position has no direct reports. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: • Four year college degree or equivalent work experience involving Data Analytics Initiatives and BI Development., • Demonstrated creative problem solving skills focused on data deliverables., • 3+ years experience in strategic planning, business analysis, solutions architecture, and/or Business Intelligence Development., • Development experience using SQL Server technologies (such as SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, DQS), • 3+ years of Transact SQL, including creation of objects to support data modeling., • Knowledge of Tableau or similar data visualization software required., • Knowledge of advanced analytical functions such as clustering, correlation, and market basket analysis helpful. Experience in R a plus., • Excellent analytic, organization, presentation and facilitation skills; ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines., • Demonstrated ownership & leadership of analytics and/or data deliverables, • Very strong member focus and relationship skills., • Ability to work flexible schedule., • Knowledge of financial services desirable, • Ability to work alone or with little supervision., • Willingness to pursue further education in Data Analytics & BI., • Working knowledge of computer software (i.e. Windows, Microsoft Office, Visio), • Working knowledge of BI Development processes & awareness of BI technologies, • Working knowledge of Excel data functions and Pivot Tables., • Demonstrated experience leading collaborative discussions with technical and non-technical staff that result in value to the business unit. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as regulatory instructions, policy manuals, task documentation, and procedure manuals. Ability to write clearly and concisely, as well as in producing routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to create and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. TECHNICAL SKILLS and ABILITIES: • Ability to operate proficiently equipment used in word processing, spreadsheets, laser printers, photocopiers and fax machines, etc., • Fully knowledgeable in word processing software, spreadsheet software, as well as minor software programs., • Knowledgeable of credit union terminology and acronyms commonly utilized in the day to day communication of staff, policymakers and others involved in the credit union system. PERFORMANCE SKILLS: • Ability to manage time; coordinate several projects at once; multitask., • Able to follow established policies and procedures., • Ability to deal with all levels and departments of the organization.
