Job Description Summary The Associate Director provides strategic leadership, direction, and oversight of PATCH’s Management Team to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission, strategic priorities, and contractual obligations. This position is responsible for guiding program operations, monitoring performance outcomes, and ensuring compliance with all contracts, grants, and funding requirements. In collaboration with the Executive Director, the position identifies, develops, and sustains programmatic opportunities that strengthen organizational impact and advance PATCH’s long-term goals. The role also provides leadership in cultivating innovation, ensuring quality program delivery, and fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Duties Essential Duties: • Model professional conduct consistent with PATCH’s mission, values, and policies. Promotes a respectful, collaborative, and accountable work culture that reflects the organization’s commitment to service excellence and integrity., • Provide supervision and guidance to the PATCH management team, including all Program Managers and other staff as assigned. Monitors program operations for compliance with contractual and grant commitments, quality assurance standards, and strategic goals., • Collaborate with Program Managers to review, develop, and implement programmatic policies and procedures that ensure alignment with agency standards, funding requirements, and organizational objectives., • Oversee the preparation, review, analysis, and submission of programmatic reports and other reporting as needed to meet all contractual, sub-contractual, and grant reporting requirements. This includes reviewing and analyzing program data to identify trends, measure outcomes, and inform program improvements. Ensures timely and accurate documentation and reporting in coordination with the Executive Director., • Support the Executive Director in researching and pursuing grant and funding opportunities. Provides technical assistance in identifying funding sources, reviewing proposals, and ensuring programmatic and budgetary alignment with agency goals., • Build and maintain productive relationships with contracting agencies, foundations, and partner organizations. Represents PATCH on boards, task forces, and committees to advance the organization’s strategic goals and public policy interests., • Ensure consistency and effectiveness in the implementation of programs and daily operations across all PATCH offices. Oversees resource management to promote efficiency, sustainability, and alignment with agency priorities., • Serve as the acting agency lead in the absence of the Executive Director, providing operational oversight and leadership continuity to maintain stability and progress toward organizational goals. Other Duties: • Establishes and maintains relationships with other organizations as it relates to PATCH’s strategic goals and public policies.Includes representing PATCH on various boards, task forces, councils and committees as deemed necessary., • Responsible for managing resources towards the highest potential for return and sustainability., • Responsible for the agency’s operations in the absence of the Executive Director. Equipment Use: Computers and other types of equipment including PC, Tablet, Copy Machine, Fax Machine, Scanner, and Multi-Line phone, ZOOM, Teams, and other virtual meeting platforms. Work Hours: Generally, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm Monday through Friday with the ability to work evenings and weekends as required.Workdays regularly in excess of eight hours.This is an exempt (management) position and as such, requires availability outside of normal working hours when needed. Physical Demands: • Consistent demand for moderate physical effort with prolonged standing or walking., • Consistent demand for reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, or crouching, (including the ability to conduct floor activities)., • Consistent demand for lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 40 pounds., • Occasional exposure to infectious and contagious diseases., • Consistent demand for physical movements such as moving equipment and responding to emergency situations., • Consistent demand for working cooperatively as a member of the PATCH Management Team., • Consistent demand for sound judgement and multiple task management., • Occasional demand to handle emergency or crisis situations with the assistance of Executive Director., • Frequent demand to work under minimal supervision., • Frequent interruptions and changes of pace requiring flexibility to meet changing program needs., • Consistent demand to fulfill service standards and meet productivity standards., • Consistent demand to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions., • Consistent demand for effective verbal communication daily with staff, supervisor, clients, management, and the public., • Consistent demand for clear, concise written communication consisting of reports,letters,and emails., • Frequent demand for use of culturally appropriate conflict resolution.
