The Medical College of Wisconsin'sAdultMultispecialtyCritical CareAPP Fellowship Programis seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant toprovidespecialtymedical care withintheinpatientsetting.This positionis located inMilwaukee,WI atFroedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital.The Advanced Practice Provider(APP)Fellowworks as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching. * The Medical College of Wisconsin's postgraduatefellowshipprograms provide a structured clinical and professional education to foster growth. * TheAdultMultispecialtyCritical CareAPP Fellowshipis an innovative one-year training program that teaches APP fellows to become highly skilled in the multidisciplinary, collaborative, and evidence-based management of complex and challenging patients inthecritical caresetting. * The curriculum is composed of multi-modal learning opportunities that may include the following: in-person didactics, online classrooms, simulation, proctoredprocedures,and/or mentored clinical rotations. * The APP fellow will havea strong foundationin evidence-based practice and ensure an environment of safe, quality care. * TheAdultMultispecialtyCritical CareAPP fellow will have a variety of experiences caring forcritically ill patients in intensive care units.These experiences include both general and specialty care for mixed medical and surgical patient populations. The APP fellow will alsohavethe opportunitytorotate with inpatient services that support critically ill patients. * TheAdultMultispecialtyCritical CareAPP fellowwillwork atFroedtert Memorial Lutheran HospitalandFroedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital,allowing for experience in both the academic and community setting. * TheAdultMultispecialtyCritical CareAPP fellowreportstoKaitlin Spiegelhoff PA-C, program manager. * 1.0 FTE (full time) * Salaried(exempt) * APP fellows receive compensation during the program.APPfellow salary is $75,000 and paid out as per MCW standard. Taxes and deductions apply. * Typical schedule:Fellows can expect to work 8 to 13-hour shifts with variable start times by rotation, work both day and night shift and some weekends.Expected clinical hours39 hoursper week, with 5-8 hours ofadditionaleducation. * Weekend and/or holiday requirements:Expected to workapproximately every3rdweekend during ICU rotations.
