Job Description Summary: The Security Dispatcher is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of security personnel to ensure the safety and security of the premises. This role involves monitoring surveillance systems, managing emergency responses, and maintaining clear and accurate records of security incidents. The Security Dispatcher plays a crucial role in ensuring that all security protocols are followed and that any issues are addressed promptly and effectively. Key Responsibilities: 1. Monitoring and Surveillance: • Operate and monitor security surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems., • Observe real-time video feeds and identify any suspicious activities or security breaches. 2. Emergency Response Coordination: • Respond to security alarms, alerts, and emergencies, and dispatch security personnel or emergency services as needed., • Provide clear and concise instructions to on-site security personnel and emergency responders. 3. Communication and Reporting: • Maintain effective communication with security personnel, law enforcement, and other relevant departments., • Prepare and submit detailed incident reports, including descriptions of events, actions taken, and outcomes. 4. Record Keeping: • Document all security-related activities, including patrols, incidents, and equipment usage., • Maintain accurate logs of communications, dispatches, and incident reports. 5. Coordination and Scheduling: • Schedule and coordinate shifts for security personnel, ensuring adequate coverage for all areas., • Assist in the training and orientation of new security staff. 6. Customer Service: • Address and resolve security-related inquiries from employees, visitors, and other stakeholders., • Provide assistance and guidance as needed to ensure a safe and secure environment. 7. Compliance and Protocols: • Ensure adherence to company security policies and procedures., • Stay updated on the latest security practices and technologies. 8. Technical Support: • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with security equipment and systems., • Report technical malfunctions and coordinate repairs with technical support teams. Qualifications: • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in security management or related field is a plus., • Experience: Previous experience in security dispatching or a similar role is preferred., • Skills:, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills., • Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure., • Proficiency with surveillance systems and computer software., • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities., • Knowledge of emergency response procedures and protocols. Physical Requirements: • Ability to sit for extended periods while monitoring surveillance systems., • Capability to respond quickly to emergencies and assist with physical tasks if necessary. Working Conditions: • May require working in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays., • Work may be performed in a security control room or office setting with occasional site visits.
