Job Description Maintenance Technician $25-$30/hr Job Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing ongoing safe preventative maintenance and repairs to the production line and assembly equipment. The aim is to minimize downtime, prevent product damage or loss, and assist with setting up, changing over, and troubleshooting malfunctions on the production lines. Responsibilities • Comply with all company policies, standard operating procedures, and safety rules, and attend company-scheduled training., • Complete all preventive maintenance on assigned lines or equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts, equipment, and machinery., • Perform production line setups with minimal follow-up in an efficient manner., • Troubleshoot problems as they arise and devise appropriate solutions., • Determine measures to avoid future problems and make recommendations for changeover, operational, quality, and efficiency improvements., • Adhere to all company safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out and other relevant practices., • Monitor all adjustments, speeds, and moving components during runs., • Report problems, hazards, concerns, operator errors, and other issues to the Production Supervisor or appropriate personnel as needed., • Maintain all company records and tools in good operating condition and complete all required documentation accurately., • Keep the Maintenance Shop and line equipment cabinets clean and organized., • Communicate effectively with others., • Perform work onsite., • Troubleshooting, • Maintenance technician skills, • Electrical and mechanical expertise, • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, • Preventive maintenance and repair proficiency, • Advanced mechanical/electrical aptitude, • Understanding of electrical circuit design, • Ability to read electrical prints and schematics and troubleshoot electrical circuits up to 460V, • Experience with diagnostic testing equipment for electrical devices, • Working knowledge of motor controls, variable frequency drives, and servo drives, • Knowledge of automation control, PLCs, and programming, • Comprehension of electrical systems, hydraulic operations, and pneumatic components, • Intermediate level computer knowledge, • Advanced reading, writing, and math abilities, • Basic reading, writing, and math skills, • Ability to inspect work and make quality control decisions, • Competence in using accurate weights and measurement equipment in metrics, • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English Enjoy a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same. Work Environment This role operates within a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to temperature extremes, dust, noise, and wet areas with potential exposure to hazardous chemicals. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hairnets, beard nets, and protective eyewear are required. The position offers various shifts: 1st Shift from 7am to 3:30pm, 2nd Shift from 3pm to 11:30pm with a $0.50 differential, and a weekend shift from Friday to Sunday from 5pm to 5:30am with a $3 differential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
