These principles define our identity and guide our actions, shaping a dynamic and inclusive workplace. We are seeking a dynamic Traveling Supervisor to join our team. The Traveling Supervisor oversees the onsite setup and dismantling of trade show exhibits, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to CenterPoint's standards of quality. This position requires extensive travel, collaboration with internal teams and onsite labor teams, a high level of customer service, and the ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment. This person would also manage CenterPoint's on-site travel supervision program, including the training of additional traveling supervisors. Key Responsibilities: • Estimate onsite labor requirements as needed by evaluating exhibit size, location and complexity., • Maintain relationships with Install and Dismantle (I&D) vendors and field service contractors., • Maintain accurate job logs, cost estimates, and documentation to ensure efficient field operations, timely processing of service orders, and vendor accountability., • Lead onsite crews in the set up and dismantling of trade show exhibits in accordance with design specifications and timelines., • Effectively manage and motivate onsite crews to ensure accuracy and adherence to quality standards., • Have a working knowledge of union rules and regulations and major trade show venues throughout the United States., • Coordinate with vendors to ensure a smooth operation during install and dismantle., • Address any challenges that arise, and problem solve in a prompt and efficient manner., • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on the show floor by providing updates and addressing any last-minute changes., • Maintain high standards of quality control by inspecting exhibit components throughout installation., • Train and lead other production team members who travel to ensure consistency in quality, communication, and onsite execution., • Manage the schedule for onsite supervision support, using sound judgement to determine the most suitable personnel while ensuring limited disruption to in-house operations., • Keep CenterPoint management and Sales Teams informed of updates to show site rules, regulations and compliance., • Establish and maintain a diverse network of contacts in exhibit business, including service contractors and vendors throughout the country., • Provide backup and additional support in warehouse operations as needed., • Flexibility to travel to various trade show locations as required. Up to 50% travel, including weekends., • Ability to work extended hours during show setups and dismantles., • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously., • Knowledge of exhibit construction, setup, and dismantling process., • Knowledge of rigging, carpentry, lighting, and basic AV setups., • Ability to read and interpret basic building schematics and pull lists., • Experience preparing detailed labor estimates., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Strong supervisory skills., • Ability to anticipate and solve problems., • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail., • At least five years of experience in trade show industry., • Prior experience with crew supervision required.
