Job Description Summary We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting children safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. Duties Responsibilities • Safely operate a van or similar vehicle to transport passengers to designated locations., • Ensure timely arrivals and departures according to the scheduled routes., • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking., • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior., • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance., • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or passenger needs., • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving., • Assist with any special needs of passengers, including those requiring additional support.Experience, • Previous experience as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver, or in a similar role is preferred., • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols is essential., • Experience in customer service roles will be highly valued., • Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with passengers and team members., • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.We are seeking a Daycare Driver to join our team! You will assist in the development and supervision of children. Transportation Brighter Beginnings Preschool and Learning Center LLC does annual vehicle safety inspections on each van as well as annual reports pulled for each driver. All vans have been installed with a child safety alarm and the alarms will remain on during the use of vans to transport children. The driver will go through the van to ensure no child is left behind and turn off the alarm. We will also check under all seats. An emergency kit is placed on each van that consists of the following: First aid Kit, wipes, thermometer, hand sanitizer, Kleenex, Flashlight, and a blanket. The van driver will do daily maintenance checks of the vehicles which consist of: Daily check 1. Tires, 2. Lights, 3. Safety restraints, 4. Fuel, 6. Children are always to remain seated., 10. Children are reminded that there is no food or drinks allowed during travel to ensure safety., 11. The windows on the vans/buses are to be adjusted by the driver to ensure the children feel comfortable in warm weather., 13. There is a mobile phone on the vans/buses for emergency calls. The driver must hold certification in CPR AED and First Aid. The driver must be flexible during center hours depending on pick up and drop off times of the children. The driver must maintain an excellent driving record and be insurable and well as maintain a copy of their driving record from the DMV. Other Task can include but not limited to: 1. The driver will pick up and drop the children off at the address on their alternative release form., 2. The driver will make sure that he/she is following the rules of good driving., 3. The driver is not allowed to talk on the phone but will be allowed to have a blue tooth so that if changes happen while he/she is on route they can talk to center staff hands free., 4. The driver and assistant will both be responsible for doing monthly maintenance checks on the vehicles as well as checking the child check system and seat belts., 5. The driver and assistant will be responsible for keeping the vehicles clean inside and out as well.
