Job DescriptionSalary: n/a Production Artist - Heat Transfer/Art Department Job Description Job in Brief: Your roll as a production artist in the art department is to ensure accuracy and prepare customer artwork and color separated art for Screen Printing and to produce heat transfers with. To be successful in this position, you should combine strong creative and technical skills (Adobe Suite, Illustrator & Photo Shop primarily) to format various images and art files. You should also have a very good eye for detail and have some project management experience. Ultimately, you will need ensure our print and digital designs meet high quality standards. Proof art files against customer POs to ensure all the requirements are met. Output final art files once approved and prepare for production. Heat Transfer Department Responsibilities * Prepare artwork for heat transfers using Adobe products * Prepare composites for customer approval * Send artwork to printer/plotter to produce transfers * Light weeding of transfers when needed * Follow deadlines to ensure on time delivery * At times help with applying transfers to customer garments Requirements * Proven work experience as a production artist, graphic designer or similar. * Solid knowledge of the transfer process and preflighting tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop (Roland VersaWorks or similar is a plus.) * An ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. * Creativity skills with attention to detail. * Occasional ability to lift up to 25 lbs. * Some twisting, bending, and reaching is necessary. Art Department Responsibilities * Prepare artwork for proofing and output to Screens using the Adobe Suite of products. * Prepare art files and send mock-ups for customer approval. * Proof and double check all final art, output files for screens. * Prepare paperwork once approved for production and all files are output. * Must be very detail oriented, able to multi-task and be willing to learn.
