Job Description Job Title: Warehouse Associate / Material Handler Job Description This role supports a high-volume manufacturing operation that produces small metal parts for automotive vehicles using large stamping presses, small machine welding stations, and production lines. The warehouse associate / material handler moves materials throughout the facility, supports production goals, and performs quality checks while working in a fast-paced, climate-controlled environment. This position requires a flexible, "no job is too small" mindset, strong work ethic, and comfort with repetitive manual labor and standing for extended periods. Schedule: 6:30PM-3:15AM (Can extend to 5:15 AM) Starting Pay: $16.54 Responsibilities • Move materials, parts, and totes throughout the facility to support stamping, welding, and production departments., • Use carts or pallet jacks to transport units safely and efficiently between work areas and storage locations., • Handle and organize materials by transporting parts between different totes to maintain clear and accurate organization., • Lift and carry materials averaging up to 50 lbs and 30+ lbs repeatedly, including lifting items overhead as needed., • Move at least 1,000 totes per day in a repetitive, non-stationary role that requires continuous movement., • Perform order picking, shipping and receiving tasks, loading and unloading materials, and general warehouse labor as needed., • Conduct quality checks on parts and materials to ensure they meet required standards before moving to the next process., • Support inventory control and warehouse inventory activities by keeping accurate counts and maintaining orderly storage areas., • Follow all work instructions carefully and complete all required paperwork and documentation related to daily tasks., • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate material flow and meet production goals., • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and follow all safety procedures when operating equipment and handling materials., • Adapt to changing production priorities and take on different duties as needed while maintaining a "no job is too small" mentality., • Work collaboratively with a team while managing an individual station, ensuring consistent material supply to production lines. Essential Skills • Ability to stand on feet for 8–10+ hours per day in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment., • Ability to lift 30+ lbs repeatedly and handle materials averaging up to 50 lbs, including lifting overhead when required., • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with repetitive manual labor., • Experience in a production facility or warehouse setting, preferably in materials handling or general labor roles., • Ability to use carts or pallet jacks to transport units and materials safely throughout the facility., • Strong attendance and reliability, including consistently showing up on time for scheduled shifts., • Comfort with manual labor and repetitive, non-stationary tasks throughout the shift., • Ability to interpret and understand written work instructions accurately., • Ability to complete all necessary paperwork and documentation related to the position with attention to detail., • Effective communication and basic organization skills to coordinate material movement and workflow with the team. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience as a material handler, warehouse associate, or similar role in a manufacturing or distribution environment., • Experience in materials handling, order picking, shipping and receiving, loading, unloading, palletizing, and warehouse inventory activities., • Experience conducting basic quality checks on parts or materials in a production setting., • Ability to work well within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities at a designated station., • Strong work ethic and a "no job is too small" mindset, with willingness to assist in different areas based on production goals., • Comfort working with large stamping presses, small machine welding stations, and production lines in a manufacturing facility. Work is performed at an individual station within a team-based setting, so employees have their own area but are never fully working alone. The environment is fast-paced and production-driven, with frequent use of carts and pallet jacks to move materials safely around the facility. Dress is typical for a manufacturing and warehouse setting, emphasizing safety and practicality. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.54/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
