Job DescriptionSenior Technology & Data Governance Lead (Information Security)Contract Duration: March 23, 2026 – March 20, 2027+ Location: Onsite – Kansas City, MO Employment Type: Contract – Not open to thirdparty agencies Screening: Background check and drug screen required upon selectionAbout the RoleThis role leads enterpriselevel technology and data governance within the information security function. The Senior Governance Lead partners with security leadership, technology teams, and business stakeholders to ensure policies, controls, and decisionrights are aligned with business objectives, regulatory expectations, and risk tolerance.You will design and operationalize governance frameworks, build data and technology inventories, define stewardship and access models, guide risk management activities, and support audit and compliance efforts. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fastmoving environment and enjoys shaping governance foundations that support security, compliance, and AIreadiness across the enterprise.What You'll DoGovernance Leadership • Develop and maintain the enterprise technology & data governance framework, charter, and RASCI decisionrights model., • Establish governance policies and operating structures that promote accountability and alignment with organizational strategy., • Lead classification, minimization, and retention policy development with security, privacy, and business partners.Risk & Compliance Oversight, • Drive enterprise cyber risk management practices aligned to business risk appetite., • Conduct and operationalize Data Risk Assessments (DRA/FinDRA) to support security investment prioritization., • Monitor compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR) and internal policies; identify and remediate gaps., • Serve as a primary point of contact for audits, assessments, and regulatory reviews.Program Execution, • Build and maintain a prioritized inventory of technology and data assets, including discovery, lineage, and risk scoring., • Lead and implement stewardship programs (centralized, federated, or hybrid) and assign ownership roles., • Select and deploy governance and GRC platforms (e.g., Vanta, MetricStream); oversee integrations with existing data and security tools.Access & Controls Management, • Define access governance models (PBAC, rolebased, purposebased)., • Partner with IAM, DLP/DSPM, SIEM/SOC, and architecture teams to ensure cohesive control implementation., • Oversee tooling for cataloging, lineage, data quality, MDM, DSPM, and observability.Metrics & Executive Reporting, • Develop governance and risk dashboards that surface KPIs for Executive Leadership., • Translate governance and security insights into businessaligned recommendations.Required Qualifications, • 8+ years of information security or governance experience, • Demonstrated ability to define governance policies, decisionrights, and stewardship models, • Experience engaging Executive Leadership and influencing risk, compliance, and data literacy discussions, • Strong background leading technology or data governance programs across crossfunctional teams, • Experience conducting security and data risk assessments, • Knowledge of metadata, data cataloging, lineage, MDM, data quality, DSPM/DLP, DataOps, and data observability concepts, • Applied project management experience, • One or more professional certifications preferred (e.g., Security+, CISA, CRISC, CISSP)Compensation, • Competitive hourly rate (range provided during screening), • Overtime eligibility
