About the Role: Senior Accountant (SaaS, Revenue, and Rhythm) We’re hiring a Senior Accountant to own SaaS revenue recognition and meaningful pieces of our monthly close. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who takes pride in: • Clean financials, • Airtight support, • And building processes that scale without losing their soul, • You’ll help ensure our revenue recognition is accurate and defensible, our reconciliations are tight, and our close cadence is as smooth as a well-rehearsed setlist., • Think less chaos, more cadence:, • Revenue recognition is consistent and audit-ready across subscriptions, services, add-ons, renewals, and changes, • Deferred revenue and contract schedules are well-documented, logical, and easy to defend, • Your parts of the close run like clockwork — predictable timelines, clean reconciliations, minimal rework, • You surface issues early and bring solutions with them — no last-minute fire drills, • Processes steadily improve: fewer manual steps, better checklists, stronger controls You’ll feel right at home at RTA if you: Revenue Recognition & SaaS Accounting (ASC 606) • Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition policies across subscriptions, services, and add-ons, • Manage deferred revenue schedules, including renewals, upgrades/downgrades, contract modifications, and multi-year deals, • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to ensure billing accuracy and contract terms support proper accounting treatment, • Help strengthen quote-to-cash practices by identifying gaps, risks, and control improvements, • Own key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process (timelines, tasks, and deliverables for your areas), • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses, • Maintain GL integrity and ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP, • Create clear support and documentation for accounting conclusions and close deliverables, • Support AP, expense management, credit cards, payroll accounting, and accruals as needed, • Assist with cash management, bank reconciliations, and treasury-related activities, • Maintain and improve accounting workflows, close checklists, and internal controls, • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA-track preferred), • 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in SaaS or technology, • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and practical working knowledge of ASC 606, • Experience owning meaningful areas of month-end close with clean, supportable workpapers, • Familiarity with modern accounting and revenue tools (QuickBooks Online, Maxio or similar, Avalara, Paylocity, HubSpot, Mosaic, or comparable systems), • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills with strong analytical capability, • Experience with multi-entity and/or multi-state operations, • Experience improving quote-to-cash controls and revenue processes end-to-end A culture that values ownership, direct communication, and doing right by the team Accounting is a strategic partner here — not a back-office afterthought Direct access to the Controller and CFO, with meaningful leadership interaction The opportunity to build scalable close and revenue practices in a growing SaaS environment About Us RTA has been established since 1979 and has built a reputation for providing the best customer service in the market.
