Position Summary The Clinical Support Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the clinical operations of a home health agency. This position provides direct assistance to the clinical team, helping ensure accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination of patient care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and experienced in home health workflows, particularly related to EMR systems, OASIS documentation, and scheduling support. Key Responsibilities Clinical Documentation & EMR Support • Review and audit clinician documentation for accuracy and completeness (e.g., OASIS, Plan of Care, visit notes)., • Track, flag, and follow up on documentation deficiencies or missing signatures., • Support field staff with real-time clinical or scheduling questions., • Serve as liaison between clinicians, intake, QA, billing, and administrative departments., • Monitor compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation and agency protocols., • Assist in preparing for surveys or audits by ensuring clinical records are complete and accurate., • Provide EMR guidance to new or existing field staff. Education & Licensure: • High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate’s or bachelor’s degree in health sciences, nursing, or related field (preferred)., • 1–2 years of experience in home health, healthcare administration, or medical office setting., • Strong working knowledge of EMR systems, • Excellent organizational and communication skills., • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)., • Documentation accuracy, • Problem solving and follow-through, • Clinical knowledge or familiarity with home health practices, • Customer service and team support, • Primarily office-based (onsite or remote depending on agency)., • Occasional interaction with field staff and patients via phone/email.
