Job DescriptionDescription: About the Role We're looking for a Specialty Services Project Manager to lead and grow our specialty service lines across the enterprise, including Fumigation and Fogging, Weed Control, and Termite Services. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll serve as the single point of accountability for how these services are delivered across every region we operate in. This is a remote role with regular travel to regional offices, customer sites, and our satellite fumigation locations. You'll wear several hats: program owner, project manager, technical authority, and trainer. Your work will directly shape how safely, consistently, and profitably our specialty services run, and you'll have the freedom to build the standards, training, and systems that make that possible. Why You'll Love It Here • Full benefits package including $0 deductible medical insurance, PTO, Life Insurance, 401(k), and more, • Competitive salary plus bonus, with total compensation estimated at $80K to $125K, • Comprehensive training and licensing support, • Career growth opportunities in a stable, family-owned business, • A supportive culture rooted in teamwork, trust, and excellence What You'll Own • Enterprise leadership for fumigation, fogging, weed control, and termite service lines, • Governance of standards, SOPs, documentation, and execution models across all regions, • Project management for complex, high-risk, or non-routine specialty jobs, • Training program design and delivery, including initial, refresher, and annual stewardship training, • Equipment stewardship, including inventory, maintenance, and calibration of specialty application and monitoring equipment, • Vendor strategy, including serving as the primary contact with partners like Corteva, • Regulatory compliance across EPA requirements, label law, and state-specific rules, • Continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or similar methodologies Key Responsibilities Fumigation and Fogging Plan and support structural and specialty fumigation projects from site assessment through execution, including staffing, pricing, dosage calculations, and safety planning. Provide on-site support in regions with less fumigation experience. Build and run a regional Fumigation Coordinator program to develop resident experts. Maintain Fumigation Management Plans, pricing worksheets, dosage calculations, SOPs, and Redi-Reference materials. Oversee satellite fumigation storage locations in Kenosha, Hastings, Fairmount, and Paris. Partner with Safety and Technical teams to strengthen the Respiratory Protection Program. Weed Control Establish and maintain enterprise standards for specialty weed control. Create and deliver training focused on SOPs, best practices, and compliance. Monitor application effectiveness, run root cause analysis on underperformance, and collaborate with vendors annually to adjust product selections and blends by region and season. Termite Services Elevate termite service capability across the organization, particularly in southern markets where termite pressure is highest. Design and deliver foundational and advanced training, including on-site field training. Support Operations with scoping, pricing, and programming of complex termite jobs. Serve as the technical escalation point for treatments and execution planning. Maintain treatment SOPs, inspection requirements, and record-keeping standards. Monitor state-specific termite regulations to ensure compliance. Cross-Functional Partnership Work closely with Operations, Safety, Technical, Training, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to support pricing, customer commitments, execution readiness, and risk management. Data and Continuous Improvement Establish and monitor KPIs across safety, inventory accuracy, fleet utilization, asset uptime, cost, and service levels. Use data to identify trends and opportunities, present performance summaries to leadership, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements: What You Bring Required • 8 to 10+ years in pest control or specialty environmental services, with direct involvement in fumigation, termite, and/or specialty pesticide applications, • Proven experience managing complex, high-risk, or multi-state specialty service programs, • Strong technical understanding of fumigation, termite treatment strategies, and specialty application methods, • Demonstrated ability to serve as a technical and operational escalation point for field teams, • Working knowledge of EPA regulations, label law, and state-specific compliance requirements, • Experience developing and maintaining SOPs, training programs, and execution standards, • Strong project management skills across planning, pricing, execution, and risk management, • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority, • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Preferred • Structural fumigation and/or termite certifications, • Multi-state regulatory compliance experience, • Experience working with Tier 1 manufacturers such as Corteva, • Background in safety programs such as respiratory protection, • Formal training in project management, Lean, or continuous improvement Our Core Four At Plunkett's, everything we do is grounded in our Core Four: Leave No Doubt You Care.
