Position Description: The Proposal Coordinator drives the business by specializing in the management of the RFP (Request for Proposal) and RFI (Request for Information) processes for Ameritas and strategic partner distributions. Acting as an internal liaison between the external sales force and internal operational departments for dental, vision and hearing quotes, the associate will research, complete and gather all documentation for a proposal bid, ensuring the bid is presented in an accurate and compelling manner. Position Location: • We are looking for articulate, organized and detail-oriented individuals to join our team in creating proposals., • Utilize Qvidian (a web-based software) to respond to questionnaires and develop submissions., • Gather and format information, create documentation and develop a complete sales proposal to submit to the appropriate source., • Collaborate as a team to maintain unity and consistency in all submissions., • Multi-task and maintain an organized approach in creating several proposals at the same time and for all distributions., • Ensure timely release of assigned bids, working under pressure to meet demanding deadlines and making sure all aspects of the bids have been researched and presented accurately to the client., • Work and think independently, with little need for assistance or review by the Supervisor., • Utilize excellent grammar and communication skills, both written and verbal, • Create thumb drives or binders of the proposal, for hard copy submissions., • Assist the supervisor in various projects including mentoring/training new team members and maintenance of the database and library of information., • While not a primary focus, cross train with other National Account teams in networking and proposal coordination, as needed. What you bring: • H.S Diploma or GED Required; It is preferred that the incumbent has a Degree in Journalism, Communications, English or related field, or equivalent work experience in Group insurance, • Applicant must have 4-7 years of related experience including but not limited to the following:, • Creative writing skills to create and enhance narratives and questionnaire responses, • Excellent reading and writing comprehension and communication skills, • Proactive approach to problem-solving and solutions-based innovation, • Detailed time management and organizational skills, • Strategic planning capabilities and the ability to meet deadlines., • Previous experience or knowledge of Dental and/or Vision products/procedures, • Functions performed in other operational areas (Administration, Claims, Provider Relations, etc.), • Strong knowledge of software programs such as Word, Excel, a MUST. Access and PowerPoint a plus., • Previous experience or knowledge of Group and Partner distributions, • Familiarity with proposal, contract, and/or claim language, • Familiarity with sales office operations, • Familiarity with operations of our various alternative distribution networks, • Skill set needed to learn new internally-used software.
