Location: New York City | Hybrid \n Employment Type: Full-Time \n Reports to: Founder & Global CEO \n Compensation: $150,000–$180,000 base salary + annual performance bonus + long-term incentive \n About FanciMe\n FanciMe is a global demi-fine jewelry brand creating modern jewelry around meaningful relationships, self-expression, and the moments that connect people. \n The business has established product development, manufacturing, e-commerce, content, and operational capabilities globally, with a growing presence across the U.S. and Europe. \n As we enter our next stage of growth, New York is becoming a key hub for consumer insight, brand, product direction, creative, creators, and commercial strategy. \n We are looking for a General Manager, North America to lead the next chapter of FanciMe's growth in the U.S. and build a high-performing New York-based team. \n The Role\n This is a business-building role with North America P&L responsibility, not simply a marketing or brand leadership position. \n Reporting directly to the Founder & Global CEO, the GM will own the North America business strategy and bring together brand, product, creative, creators, growth, e-commerce, and commercial performance around one clear operating plan. \n You will inherit a strong global capability platform and an emerging NYC team across Product, Jewelry Design, Creative Content, and Operations, while helping build the next layer of local leadership across Brand, Growth/E-commerce, and Influencer/Community. \n The goal is simple: \n Build FanciMe into a meaningful, scalable, and profitable jewelry brand in North America. \n What You'll OwnNorth America Strategy & P&L\n\n • Own the North America business plan, revenue targets, budget, and P&L performance.\n, • Develop and execute a clear multi-year growth strategy for the U.S. market.\n, • Balance revenue growth with gross margin, contribution margin, CAC, and long-term brand health.\n, • Identify the highest-value opportunities across DTC, Amazon, social commerce, partnerships, and future retail channels.\n, • Translate company strategy into clear annual and quarterly priorities.\nConsumer, Brand & Market Growth\n\n, • Develop a deep understanding of U.S. Millennial and Gen Z consumers and translate insights into business priorities.\n, • Partner closely with Brand and Creative leadership to build a differentiated FanciMe position in the North American market.\n, • Ensure brand building and performance marketing work together rather than as separate functions.\n, • Identify cultural, creator, partnership, and category opportunities that can accelerate awareness and customer acquisition.\nDTC & Growth\n\n, • Own the overall health of the North America DTC business, including traffic, conversion, CAC, AOV, retention, and customer economics.\n, • Build a diversified growth engine across organic content, paid media, creators, affiliates, CRM, partnerships, and e-commerce optimization.\n, • Establish a disciplined test-and-learn culture and clear performance dashboards.\n, • Reduce dependence on any single traffic or acquisition channel over time.\nProduct & Merchandising Partnership\n\n, • Partner closely with our U.S./EU Product team and global product organization to translate consumer and commercial insights into product opportunities.\n, • Help identify hero products, signature collections, key price points, and category opportunities for the U.S. market.\n, • Ensure Product, Brand, Creative, and Growth are aligned around major launches and go-to-market plans.\n, • Bring U.S. customer data and market feedback back into the global product-development process.\nTeam & Organization Building\n\n, • Lead and help build a lean, high-performing 6–10 person NYC core team.\n, • Recruit and develop key leaders in Brand, Growth/E-commerce, Influencer/Community, and other capabilities as the business scales.\n, • Create clear ownership, priorities, KPIs, and operating rhythms across functions.\n, • Build a culture that combines entrepreneurial speed, high standards, accountability, and collaboration.\nGlobal Collaboration\n\n, • Serve as the key business bridge between the North America team and FanciMe's global capabilities.\n, • Work closely with China-based teams across product development, design, manufacturing, supply chain, content production, e-commerce, Amazon, and operations.\n, • Clearly represent North American consumer and business needs while leveraging global capabilities for speed and scale.\n, • Build an operating model where local market insight and global execution reinforce each other.\n\n What We're Looking ForCore Requirements\n\n • 10+ years of experience in consumer brands, e-commerce, retail, or related industries, with meaningful business leadership responsibility.\n, • Proven experience building and scaling a consumer or DTC business, ideally through a meaningful stage of growth.\n, • Demonstrated P&L ownership or substantial revenue, budget, and commercial responsibility.\n, • Strong understanding of DTC economics, including acquisition, conversion, retention, margin, and channel mix.\n, • Experience leading cross-functional teams across areas such as Brand, Growth, E-commerce, Product, Creative, Sales, or Operations.\n, • Strong consumer and brand instincts combined with a highly analytical and commercial mindset.\n, • Comfortable operating in both strategy and execution — able to move from a CEO-level discussion to solving an operating problem with the team.\n, • Proven ability to build teams, establish processes, and create structure in an entrepreneurial environment.\n, • Strong leadership and communication skills across cultures, functions, and time zones.\n, • Based in or able to work regularly from New York City.\n, • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.\nStrong Plus\n\n, • Experience in jewelry, beauty, fashion, accessories, lifestyle, or other brand-led consumer categories.\n, • Experience working in a high-growth DTC or digitally native consumer business.\n, • Experience scaling a business from an earlier growth stage rather than only operating within a large established organization.\n, • Experience across both brand building and performance-driven growth.\n, • Experience working directly with founders.\n, • Experience working with global or Asia-based teams.\n, • Understanding of creator-led, social-first, and community-driven consumer growth.\n\n Jewelry experience is valuable, but not required. Proven consumer-business leadership and DTC operating experience are more important. \n \n Who Will Thrive Here\n You are a builder and operator, not simply an administrator. \n You know how to turn consumer insight into a business strategy — and a business strategy into measurable execution. \n You care about brand, but you understand P&L. \n You understand growth, but you do not believe sustainable brands are built only through paid acquisition. \n You are comfortable with ambiguity, limited infrastructure, and high ownership. \n You enjoy building teams and systems rather than inheriting large established organizations. \n Most importantly, you want the opportunity to own and build a market, not simply manage one. What Success Looks Like\n Over the first 12–24 months, success will include: \n\n • Establishing a clear North America growth strategy and operating model.\n, • Building a high-performing NYC leadership team.\n, • Delivering strong, profitable growth across DTC and other priority channels.\n, • Improving customer economics and reducing dependence on paid acquisition.\n, • Establishing stronger U.S. brand awareness and consumer relevance.\n, • Developing a repeatable creator, content, and growth engine.\n, • Building stronger connections between U.S. consumer insights and the global product roadmap.\n, • Developing recognizable hero products and scalable product categories.\n, • Creating an effective operating system between the NYC and global teams.\nCompensation & Benefits\n The expected base salary range is $150,000–$180,000 per year, depending on experience, demonstrated track record, and overall fit. \n The role will also include: \n\n • Annual performance-based bonus\n, • Long-term incentive opportunity\n, • 10 days of Paid Time Off (PTO)\n, • 13 paid company holidays, including major U.S. holidays and Chinese Spring Festival / Lunar New Year\n, • 5 days of paid sick leave\n, • QSEHRA health reimbursement benefit, providing reimbursement toward eligible health insurance premiums and qualified medical expenses up to the company's established allowance\n, • Hybrid working environment with meaningful in-person collaboration in NYC\n, • For an exceptional candidate with a demonstrated record of building and scaling a significant consumer business, compensation may be structured accordingly.\n
