Job summary The Director of Growth is a senior, consultative professional responsible for owning growth from first touch through signed client. This role blends business-to-business (B2B) marketing leadership and hands-on sales execution, with primary accountability for creating marketing-qualified leads (MQLs), converting appropriate opportunities into sales-qualified leads (SQLs), and personally nurturing those SQLs through a consultative sales process to become clients. This role is an individual contributor position and does not include people management responsibilities. It is ideal for someone who thrives as a builder, operator, and seller. This is for someone equally comfortable guiding external agency partners, leveraging modern go-to-market (GTM) technologies, and engaging Fortune 100 executives in high-credibility, outcomes-focused business conversations. Summary of essential job functions/responsibilities Growth Strategy & Demand Creation • Own the end-to-end growth motion: MQL creation, SQL qualification, opportunity development, and client acquisition, • Partner with leadership to define target segments, buyer personas, and growth priorities across:, • Large self-funded employers, • Employee benefits brokers and brokerage leadership, • Serve as the internal growth lead managing external partners, including:, • Brand agency, • Digital/SEO agency, • Independent marketing consultants, • Ensure consistent, high-quality thought leadership across website, content, and social channels, • Drive SEO-effective content strategy that produces steady, relevant inbound leads, • Personally conduct outreach, discovery, and consultative sales conversations, • Use tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, AI-enabled platforms, and CRM systems to:, • Identify high-value prospects, • Engage senior executives and broker leadership, • Advance opportunities through the funnel, • Qualify and transition MQLs into SQLs using clear criteria and business judgment, • Lead complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and long decision timelines, • Confidently engage and communicate with:, • Fortune 100 CEOs, CFOs, CHROs, • Owners, presidents, and practice leaders at benefits brokerage firms, • Tailor messaging to each audience while maintaining credibility and clarity, • 8+ years in B2B marketing, sales, or growth roles, • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required, • Demonstrated success selling consulting, advisory, or professional services, • Experience operating across both marketing and sales funnels, • Direct experience managing external agencies and consultants, • Proven ability to sell to senior executives in large, complex organizations, • Strong consultative selling skills; able to lead with insight rather than pitch, • Solid understanding of B2B marketing fundamentals, including:, • Content strategy and thought leadership, • SEO and digital demand generation, • Lead qualification and funnel metrics, • Sales technology fluency (CRM, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, AI tools), • Executive presence and strong business acumen, • Comfortable working independently with high accountability, • Experience in healthcare, benefits, PBM, or HR-related consulting, preferred, • Familiarity with self-funded employers or benefits brokerage models, preferred The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
