Oversee operation of the surgical pathology grossing room including oversight of technical assistants, specimen accessioning and processing, and maintenance of workflow to the Pathologists. Maintains adequate levels of supplies and properly functioning instruments in the grossing room, to include troubleshooting issues with cryostat between service appointments. Performs photomicrographs for tumor conference. Reviews and designated appropriate limb to be discarded. Additional Requirements: Keeps up to date on policies, procedures, skills, documentation requirements for continuing education, checklists, and successful completion of competency surveys in a timely manner.
