Under the direction of the Family Engagement Association Director, you’ll lead a team of caring staff, manage schedules, and ensure safe staff-to-child ratios while overseeing the daily operations of our Child Watch program. Requirements: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Provide excellent service and build positive relationships with members, staff, volunteers, and guests through friendly, engaging communication., • Ensure a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment in Child Watch by maintaining appropriate staff-to-child ratios and supporting daily operations., • Assist in scheduling and supporting Child Watch staff, helping them follow YMCA policies and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities., • Serve as a hands-on leader, stepping in to lead shifts or activities when needed and addressing basic customer service or safety concerns as they arise., • Communicate clearly with the Family Engagement Associate Director and report any staffing, maintenance, or supply needs., • Support and model the YMCA’s core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility in all interactions., • Excellent oral and written communication skills with all ages, • Interpersonal & coaching skills, • Supervisory Experience a plus, • CPR/First Aid Certification within 30 days., • Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations, • 18 Years of Age or Older, • College credits toward Human Services, Recreation, Physical Education or related fields and/or 1 year related experience, • Ability to work with children and to supervise others, • Knowledge of teambuilding, non-competitive and competitive games, youth programs, • Ability for a flexible schedule. Some Nights and weekends required.
