Job Description Job Title: Machine Operator Helper #AeroJobsXNRGY Job Description As a Machine Operator Helper, you will be responsible for operating various advanced machines such as press breaks, saws, drills, turret punches, lasers, and shears according to standard operating procedures. You will be tasked with setting up, programming, and calibrating machines for production runs to ensure all configurations meet product specifications. You will also troubleshoot and resolve complex machine issues, conduct routine maintenance, and perform quality checks on parts and assemblies. Responsibilities • Operate various machines at an advanced level according to standard operating procedures., • Set up, program, and calibrate machines for production runs, ensuring configurations meet product specifications., • Troubleshoot and resolve complex machine issues, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems., • Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains., • Perform final quality checks on parts and assemblies, ensuring they meet all standards and customer specifications., • Train and mentor less experienced machine operators on advanced machine operation and troubleshooting techniques., • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machines, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition., • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve product designs, production workflows, and equipment performance., • Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine performance, and any corrective actions taken., • Follow and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment., • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certification or associate degree in machine operation, engineering, or related field preferred., • 5+ years of experience in machine operations, preferably in press breaks, turrets, lasers, and shears., • Expertise in machine programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance., • Strong knowledge of machining techniques, including precision manufacturing and CNC operations., • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files., • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills., • Strong leadership abilities, with experience training and mentoring junior staff., • Experience working with sheet metal that is cut, pressed, and punched to a strict tolerance., • Knowledge of punch press, press brake, laser, and CNC machines. Work Environment The work environment requires good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination. You must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch as required. Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be necessary. The shift is from Friday to Sunday, 5 am to 5 pm, with a 10% shift differential applicable only for hours worked during these days. Initial training will occur on the 1st shift for a few weeks to ensure understanding of the machines and processes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
